there are certain details that should be omitted in writing imo and i didnt want to spend an entire paragraph explaining "adrian does not understand leaky blob but tis cool cuz his puter is there"

someone asked a good question about my edit in the authors note for ch 9 and i wanted to clarify and say the laptop is there solely for adrian and lavenders sakes bc adrian knows 0 english and lavender is proficient but not fluent

also sad no one pointed out the parallels between adrian and stratt that i have painstakingly been setting up since chapter 3

though unlike hermione (the eridian) lavender doesnt really live up to her namesake. or at least u arent gonna see her calling grace "wywy" or smth like that. AS A DISCLAIMER I LOVE LAVENDER I JUST HATED THE WONWON THING

and also i thought a lot about those horny soccer moms who want to hit on the young grad student coach who teaches their kids soccer and i was like i think that might be a better route. anyway lavender is obviously named after lavender brown from hp

the prototype for lavender was actually an eridian nurse that grace names lucy. she was going to be super forward and flirty and kind of fluster grace into a relationship (or smth close to it) but i couldnt do it bc i hate medical professional/patient relationships

but also the tradeoff is those fics take me months to update. so its a pretty lethal tradeoff lol. anyway this is my unofficial warning that my next fic is going to be very big and plot-y.... im thinking conjugal visits

i have a confession: im actually really bad at the kind of fic that bhf is. like... super slice of life stuff is not my forte and i struggle a lot w it. im much better at incredibly structured fics that have plots w subplots and overarching themes and heroes v. villains...
