@NicNegrepontis How are we in 2026 and those at Barossa Park today couldn’t listen to a live radio commentary without a 20 second delay. No live FM or AM stations were broadcasting the Kangaroos v Lions game locally, with only streaming options available. Overlapped game was the cause of this!

The AFL’s layout of starting times for Gather Round is perfect. Saturday arvo overlap is fine with a 30-minute gap between games. Sunday games all have space. Copy and paste this layout across every round. Nailed it.

@RalphyHeraldSun Just make it that the previous year wooden spooners (or lowest ranked team from the previous year that is not Crows or Power) miss Gather Round, but never two years in a row.

@florianederer @DanielJGilman1 Just a simple clockwise and anti-clockwise draw to the button (Last Stone Draw - LSD), like what happens before every game to work out who gets hammer. But in your case, each athlete should throw both (and sweep their own stones) instead of only throwing one LSD.

@cullenoncurling @templeofdeceit There was a bucket of water bottles, hand sanitizer, cigarette lighters and a horn when I went through security (all things on the do not bring list). Then we walk into the venue, and there’s a whole bay of horns and whistles. So, the screening went well!

So there’s going to be people online the next few days who try to convince you that the noise in the curling venue is distracting for the players and the players don’t want it. Don’t let them fool you; the players have been asking for this type of atmosphere for years

@abcsport At least Docklands Stadium has female toilets that flush properly, adequate change rooms for both sides that don’t flood and seats that don’t leave residue or splinters on your pants when you stand up 🤷
