Why do I like @RuniverseGame? It’s more than a game. It’s the beginning of a franchise being built with intricate lore and a story that can be experienced in multiple ways. The game is where we will go to interact with the Forgotten Runiverse. The comic books (currently), movies, books, and TV shows will immerse people in the story and bring them into the game. The community members are creating backstories for their wizards, warriors, guilds, Rings and so on. I can’t say enough about the potential here. We see new games released all the time but it’s rare to experience one that has the potential to bring you into it. For now the game is just a map with a few dungeons but as you explore the built out areas you get encompassed in the environment. As the story grows this could easily be the next Legend of Zelda meets the original Final Fantasy as an MMO. The game is nowhere near perfect- it’s still in early release (you’ve been warned if you jump in now) but the foundation is here and I’m excited to be a Wizard owner with multiple plots to develop my own story within the Runiverse.

@nocoffeenobrain @nixeniego Fanbase is still there. One private shard has peak 3 to 4k CCU and probably around 50k MAU. I think UO is probably bigger now than it was in 1997, just on free shards.

@nixeniego Nah no more fanbase anymore, most of us are too old for gaming nowaday lol. But i believe MU online would work very well if possible, even mobile gaming can support the game graphic very well.

Bring Flyff Online, MU Online, Freestyle Basketball Online, PangYa, GunZ Online, RF Online, and any other successful game in the 2000s to web3. Any web3 gaming studio who failed to ship anything the past few years but still have some millions left from the previous raise should just literally try to secure IP rights to the games above, slap web3 on it and launch that instead. A lot of those games will probably allow it and lend out their IP (for a fee, of course). This model works. You can actually ship something, get a community already ready to play and spend, AND you make real revenue... which is absolutely RARE in this space. This is the blueprint. It will work. We've seen it work. If I had a few millies, I'd do this myself.
