I wanted to share a brief update with everyone. I didn’t expect this post — and especially the video from just over a month ago — to receive so much attention and support. It was simply meant to be a way to show and reiterate the struggles I’ve been facing quickly. The photos and video are from just over a month ago. I’m happy to say that I’m feeling significantly better now and am no longer in the hospital. That said, the past several months have been incredibly challenging. After being diagnosed with an aggressive form of thyroid cancer, I underwent a total thyroidectomy(removal of thyroid all together) along with the removal of approximately 70 lymph nodes. In addition to adjusting to life without a thyroid and the necessary medication, I am currently facing several other significant health struggles. Because of these ongoing issues, I haven’t been able to work much, which has created extreme financial difficulties. I have a 30% recurrence rate with this cancer, and I will soon begin radioactive iodine treatment, which will require me to be in quarantine for about a week. Despite these challenges, I remain hopeful and am grateful to be on the road to recovery. Thank you all so much for the likes, kind comments, and support — it truly means a lot.
