@jordyn2493 I’m so sorry. I dealt with pain like that in my 20’s. Birth control pills helped though I didn’t like the mood swings that came with the meds.

Talk to me, ladies. Are your period/period cramps ever so bad you have to miss work? What do you do to manage the pain? My doctor is talking to me about surgical options in the next couple weeks. I can't do this every month. I've been in bed for 2 days with a heating pad.

Today's acronym has a lot of P.O.T.E.N.T.I.A.L. Tell us what what this acronym could mean: P: O: T: E: N: T: I: A: L:

I’ve called my dad on my commute home at least twice weekly for more than ten years. Each and every time, he stops what he’s doing to talk until I get home. I don’t think he’ll ever know how much that gift of time and attention means to me. #LittleThings

@SomeSteph It’s not just you. One of the reasons I find it cringe is because accessibility is not one size fits all. A bot cannot be as nuanced as a human.

I hate to say this and maybe it’s just me — that accessibility bot gives me the ick.

@hey_danielle1 💜 It’s hard to pick one favorite but my grandmother’s fried potatoes or family tostadas or my mom’s spaghetti. I’m terrible at choosing 😝

So there are these beans we grew up eating, Ranch Style Beans you can only find in TX. My pops sent some for my last birthday and I just opened the last can. 😢 what’s a favorite food from your childhood?

Periodic reminder that Orcam is a face-mounted camera priced around $2500 that lets Blind people read print, recognize objects and do other things, all of which can also be done with free apps. Unlike the apps, Orcam has a sales team in the mold of big pharma reps —

Blind people use audible clues to gain context about what’s going on around us. If/when you see us approaching and you’re making some kind of noise (talking, typing, fiddling with your keys) don’t stop.

To dig into this some: szn is a trendy way to write the word season. It is accessible when read as s z n, because that's what it is. Accessibility is equal access not necessarily equal understanding. There is overlap here with Communications. More explanation in the replies. 1/5
