Major League Baseball is aired in the morning for Japan. So technically they eat breakfast with it being on television.
Here’s their #openingday commercial. No hyperbole, when I say this, it might be greater than any US MLB commercial I’ve seen. Well done and worth the watch for any baseball fan.

Clearly #LifeOnMars should be at the top. Don't worry Jeremy, we're sending Ray and Chris round to... have a word in your shell-like.

@MadiHilly Can you recommend a layman’s-level book that provides a good background and solid facts about nuclear energy?

@jetcitystar A couple of months ago, I had the very surreal experience of serving as a juror on a murder trial. It was a great experience, and I learned a lot.

I have fulfilled my jury obligation. Onwards!

Well, tomorrow I start jury duty in my county so don’t expect me online regularly for a week.

@Kent_in_Utah @hledoux74 @KayeSteinsapir @selectedwisdom Content is almost certainly logged on hardened, highly-restricted in-house archival servers (at least for USSS-specific secure messaging apps), and they probably have a nearly-unlimited retention schedule.
English

@roecats_8 @hledoux74 @KayeSteinsapir @selectedwisdom “Double-ended encryption”? LOL. Do you even know how encryption works? TLS only protects data in flight, not stored content. Former IT security pro here (with crypto ops and forensic experience).
English

@EssReed @hledoux74 @KayeSteinsapir @selectedwisdom Not to mention internal retention rules, regulations, and policies. I guarantee that every text sent on a USSS device since about 2007 is backed up and readily accessible somewhere (to duly authorized custodians). Secure, validated storage is cheap.
English

@hledoux74 @KayeSteinsapir @selectedwisdom Correct… with the sheer number of backups made to protect against loss… near impossible to not have them somewhere.
English

@clearing_fog @selectedwisdom Carriers can produce metadata logs (e.g., caller/sender, recipient, length of call, etc.), but not content (i.e., actual conversations or text exchanges), at least where modern, encrypted messaging applications are concerned.
English

@selectedwisdom AFAIK, we still don’t know whether these were just texts, or other chats (e.g. Signal).
Carriers like AT&T can easily produce text logs, which makes me suspect we may be looking at the latter.
And USSS may have run forensic wipes on the devices, making recovery problematic.

@RioAircraft Anyone who can realistically burn the ass end off an F-100 is an outstanding modeler in my book.
