A conversation I have every day with a Trump supporter: Me: "He's been charged with repeatedly falsifying business records." Him: "He's being treated unfairly. It's political persecution." Me: "Ok. He's also been charged in another case with purposely taking classified documents, refusing to return them, & then covering it all up." Him: "He's being treated unfairly. It's political persecution." Me: "Ok. He's also been charged in another case with pressuring Georgia election officials to overturn their election results." Him: "He's being treated unfairly. It's political persecution." Me: "Ok. He's also been charged in another case with conspiring to defraud the United States, stop an official proceeding, & prevent the peaceful transition of power." Him: "He's being treated unfairly. It's political persecution." Me: "Ok. In ALL of these cases?" Him: "Biden is behind all of it. They're all tied together." Me: "But these are all completely separate crimes coming from completely separate prosecutors in completely separate jurisdictions." Him: "They're all Democrats." Me: “Is he responsible for ANY of it? Him: “He’s a threat to the system. That’s why they’re trying to take him out.”

Why did the court even take up this non-question of immunity?

Schumer’s still planning to table the Mayorkas impeachment. He’s not contesting the facts alleged. He’s not denying that those facts, if proven, amount to impeachable offenses. That’s like a court saying “I don’t feel like dealing with this case.” Unprecedented. Unjustified.
