Not sure if anyone else will feel the same significance, but today I released the one hundredth Release of thumbor. It feels like yesterday but it has been a long 12 years. Thanks everyone for the support and for the ride! Lets go for the next 12.

Just release version 0.4.0 of thumbor-aws with compatibility mode with tc_aws for everyone that needs to port to thumbor 7 and python 3. github.com/thumbor/thumbo…

I think TS is better than Flow for many usecases. Its emphasis on DevX makes it very, very easy to use and learn. The IDE tooling is also just great. That being said - there are some features in Flow that I wish were in TS! Here are a few examples: 1/🧵

@gutocarvalho Ouve sim. Qdo migramos para Python 3 a gente mudou as interfaces que usavam callbacks para ser async methods. Isso quebra algumas extensões que precisam se adaptar, mas introduzimos um layer de compatibilidade. O Release Notes tem detalhes...

Um excelente exemplo disso pra mim é o dress-code :) A gente não tem e nunca ninguém veio pelado. A gente confia nas pessoas para serem responsáveis. boa!!

Eu lembro de, em alguma palestra, ouvir uma citação parecida com "Se você não confia nas pessoas, processo nenhum vai resolver seu problema.". Não lembro quem falou, não lembro se era assim mesmo. Alguém já ouviu algo parecido e tem a fonte?

@leguimas @acasals Não sei se foi aí que você viu hehehe Mas é algo que eu frequentemente falo. Confiança é a base de qualquer relação humana. Se a gente não trabalhar ativamente para construir confiança, vamos criar sistemas fracos, que dependem de compliance. E nada mata inovação como isso!

@acasals Cara, vasculhando minha memória aqui eu tô conectando, de alguma forma, essa lembrança ao @heynemann . Não sei se foi numa palestra dele que vi a citação, ou se foi em uma outra palestra e alguém atribuindo a ele. Bernardo, essa thread aqui te remete a algo conhecido pra você?
