Invited the doctors to my wedding ceremony so some of them have been coming up to say congrats. Today I sat in the waiting room with my dad waiting to see the oncologist and a doctor came up and asked why I was there. Told him this was my dad. He then yelled CONGRATULATIONS

7 years ago, my mom died after her battle with lung cancer. After that I decided to work in one of my states largest cancer centres. Today I am calling my dad to book in his first appointment with the oncologist. Grateful to be in a position to help. But March 17th sucks

The funny thing though is she just so happens to be the one doctor I've invited to my wedding+reception. So that'll definitely be an awkward catch up.

Mom's biggest issue being in the public system was being constantly seen by rotating registrars and never the consultant. The good thing now is I'm good friends with the head of department who happens to specialise in his issue. Shes assured me only she will see him

These laws would not be out of place in North Korea, the USSR, China, or any other authoritarian country. They are entirely out of place in Australia. What makes it even worse is that these laws were enacted with the support of the Liberal Party (@LiberalAus). The party of Robert Menzies just enacted a law that Robert Menzies would revile.
