Last Tuesday, OpenAI announced the completion of a corporate restructuring that simplified its structure into a controlling non-profit entity and a reimagined for-profit subsidiary. Many are surprised — and some are even offended. I'd argue that this was not only predictable but also inevitable. And I don’t believe this marks a death knell for AI Ethics.
