Alongside other actors in disability HI celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, 2020. On this occasion, HI received an award as an international NGO actively involved in the inclusion of people with disabilities in Rwanda.

The ES @ncpdrwanda specified that is a very important work which has just been carried out, because the exemption of this materiel will allow the reduction of theirs prices which are today very expensive and inaccessible to majority of #PWD .

Today is the end of the Workshop On Updating a list of materials and equipment of #PWD for tax exemption purpose. The ES @ncpdrwanda assured that the list just established will be submitted to @RwandaFinance for approval

From 13th to 16th October,2020, at Musanze District, NCPD in collaboration with HI organize 4 days workshop to update the list of materials and equipment for Persons with Disabilities. There are Rehabilitation professional, civil society, High Learning Institution and schools...

Mr Gahutu Anastase, who represented Karongi District in this ceremony, recommended them to take advantage of the donation, which will allow them to have easy access to antiepileptic care.

On September 22,2020, HI donated 2 sewing machines to 10 members of a psycho educational group of people with epilepsy, at Mubuga Health Center, in Karongi District, as part of their capacity building

Une campagne de sensibilisation inclusive contre le covid-19

Visite ce vendredi 21 août 2020, a Masaka, d'une coopérative des personnes handicapées appuyée par HI Rwanda dans son projet de Promotion de l'accès inclusif aux services et aux opportunités économiques pour les personnes handicapées au Rwanda (PIASO).

The objectives were to present the developed physical and functional rehabilitation standards document and its performance toolkit, to collect comments from the audience/participants and to validate the documents and roadmap for the implementation.

Opened by the Director General Clinical and public health services at Ministry of Health, Dr Zuberi Muvunyi, the workshop has been facilitated by Rwanda Agency for Accreditation and Quality Healthcare (RAAQH).

National validation workshop Rehabilitation services accreditation standards on Monday, 27th July 2020, at Nobleza Hotel. Conducted by HI Rwanda in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH), the workshop has been attended by the key rehabilitation actors in Rwanda.

Conducted by our "Ubuntu Care" project teams, these sessions also aim to strengthen the protection of children with and without disabilities against sexual violence, especially during this period when children stay at home.

Awareness-raising sessions on preventive measures against covid-19 at Rutsiro health centre during distribution of hygiene material and support to the IZUs (Inshuti Z'Umuryango), for the psychosocial support of families most vulnerable to the consequences of covid-19.

Continuing institutional support actions to strengthen preventive measures against Covid-19: Distribution of protective equipment (masks, hand sanitizer to 5 health centres, water points and soap for hand washing to 4 cells, in Rutsiro district. It is with the funding from AFD.

To support the victims of gender based violence, with funds from DDC, HI provided to Isange One Stop Center, on May 29th, different materiel worth 2.235.000 Rfw for the equipment of the safe rooms.

With funding from the DDC, HI Rwanda provided food and hygiene material assistance with a value of Frw 8,775,500 to the 475 beneficiaries in the districts of Gasabo and Rutsiro most affected by the consequences of covid-19 to prevent gender, age and disability based violence.
