Mallori Johnson: A Juilliard graduate, Mallori Johnson has been building a strong résumé of impressive performances since her breakout in Hulu's Kindred, with standout turns in Steal Away and the series Vladimir. Her co-lead role as Anaia in Is God Is, opposite Kara Young, is her most exciting film role yet and it's clear she is set to have an even bigger year ahead. Johnson tells us that Nicole Beharie and Meryl Streep are two of her acting inspirations: "I genuinely believe they are two of the most interesting, intelligent and gifted actors to have ever graced the screen and stage, and of course, this is no secret. I watch their work all the time when I feel lost in my own work, to remind myself what it means to play, to be free, but to also move with intention as an actor. I’m so inspired by them both."
