@hic_2020 CHINATOWN Polanski's classic noir thriller based on the Los Angeles water wars, ie the political difficulties over the Owens Valley aqueduct. It presented a vague backdrop for a murder mystery story set in the 1930s. Very good film in all regards, not a typical Hollywood film.
