BREAKING: The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, announces that a peace agreement has been reached between the US and Iran:
After intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that a peace agreement between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been reached. Both parties have declared an immediate and permanent ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon.
The official signing ceremony will take place on Friday, June 19, in Switzerland.
We wish to thank the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. We also wish to express our sincere appreciation to our brothers who took part in the mediation efforts – the leadership of the State of Qatar – for their support in achieving the agreement. Additionally, I would like to especially thank the visionary leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkey for their significant contribution to this process.
Now that the agreement has been reached, the mediators will lead a series of meetings during the week. These preliminary discussions towards implementing the agreement will lay the groundwork for technical talks and the official signing ceremony.
