It forces a rolling 28-day window that resets, meaning an artist is only as good as their last month of desperate hustling. You value a passive, brain-dead listener who accidentally leaves a song on background mute for 30 seconds exactly the same as a dedicated superfan who keeps an album on loop & apparently thats 'unique listeners' to you. You house artists who are willing to pay you to keep them off of your sick narrative. When millions of dedicated fans loop a track out of pure loyalty, your broken system treats those thousands of streams as a single, solitary data point. Meanwhile, if a casual listener accidentally lets a generic playlist track run for 30 seconds, you count them exactly the same. Just say you are deleting evidence atp. Your Autoplay and Radio algorithms are not neutral, organic recommendation engines.
