@MatthewS_Pod Always on can be great for chat shows with minimal editing. But highly edited narrative work takes lots of time and skill. So does innovation, which people also say they want. But always on and innovation are not compatible.

@MatthewS_Pod Some podcasts are evergreen! I like that term.
Always on means it’s not a limited series. It could mean weekly or daily, for example, depending on the format. It doesn’t leave room for ongoing seasonal shows, which is how a lot of TV is made.

@a_denie Yes! The format can be great for chat only with minimal editing but quality narrative takes time. I’m hearing both complaints that there is no innovation AND that buyers only want always on. These are not compatible.
