@One_Greenwich @averil_lekau @MrOkereke @mtpennycook I attended the meeting at Woolwich last week and after the Q&A I commented to one of the panel that conservatively it looked like a 70-30 split negative to positive. He claimed it was 50/50. He did say they would be checking ip addresses. Hopefully both for and against!

Similar to plans for West Greenwich, more overwhelming opposition to #LTNs as seen in the results of the East Greenwich survey. @averil_lekau, @MrOkereke and @mtpennycook, this data clearly shows how residents feel about East Greenwich #LTN Options A and B. The results below, taken from the Commonplace surveys, have been verified by independent, professional analysts and statisticians twice. Pushing forward with either option will result in life being made even more challenging for emergency services, carers, small businesses, people with protected characteristics, and some of the poorest in our community, who live in social housing on residential boundary roads.

@hillcrestboy Thank you - I don't know if the virtual one will be recorded, but it won't be on my site - if it's anywhere, it'd be a Waterstones site. And yes - Bromley should be around 1030-11ish, and then hopefully Bluewater around 1ish - though it's hard to be exact with travel times!

@whatSFSaid Thank you for the reply. Will the virtual one be recorded by any chance and posted on your website? Also I see you might be at Bromley around 11 am on Tuesday. Does that mean maybe Bluewater might be around 1pm? I appreciate it isn’t a formal event.

@hillcrestboy Thank you so much! Finchley Road was a signing, rather than an event, and I've done a lot of signings in London this week - but Kingston & the virtual one will be full events!

@whatSFSaid @WaterstonesO2 @DFB_storyhouse Hi there, do you have any other events lined up in London? I have been keeping an eye on the Waterstones website and I could only see Kingston upon Thames, the virtual event and some others outside London? Didnt see the Finchley Rd event or we would have been there.

@KateM45 @charliejrome @greenwich_wire @LakshanSaldin @David_Llew I live in Westcombe Park. Have done since 1993. Always congestion on Trafalgar Road. But your daily videos of backed up traffic on Vanbrugh Hill went down massively after the LTN was scrapped. Your counts if remember were unscientific observations as opposed to formal data.

@charliejrome @KateM45 @greenwich_wire @LakshanSaldin @David_Llew It was not a spurious claim. It was an uncomfortable fact. Vanbrugh Hill is much clearer now the West Greenwich LTN is gone. Rat runners used East Greenwich when it was in place. Now they don’t. It does back up occasionally. But not regularly.

@KateM45 Anyway I bid you kind farewell. Bed time. Good luck in your efforts and stay safe with that filming. I mean that genuinely. Lots of silly people out there.

Vanbrugh Hill area no better at 5pm on a Saturday - 100s of residents and local shops bombarded by constant ratrunners revving engines , idling for 20min because sat nav misguided them. The ones on wrong side of keep left signs include a BMW well well in excess of 20 speed limit

@KateM45 Shame they didn’t use it during the recent LTN proposal. Their data was from 2003. The reason they did this was to lowball the car ownership data to justify closing the roads. It was underhand and they were caught out. A shame because things needed to change and they lost trust

@KateM45 I would welcome anpr in the area with residents only allowed to use Vanbrugh hill maze hill and so on. But not a full on ltn or 10 mph limit.

@hillcrestboy not rocket science We get people to stand at key points on the hill and all feeder roads and photograph/film every vehicle that passes them with a time stamp - then we collate info and we can map where every vehicle comes from and goes too. Also talk to drivers - they are bored!

@KateM45 I admire your community mindedness but if you are proposing a 10mph speed limit and restricting movements as Greenwich Council were then probably needs@more than that.

@hillcrestboy Surveys of traffic coming off mainroads at Standard and cutting down Westcombe park rd then Maze hill or Vanbrugh hill shows the excess over 4 years ago is almost entirely long distance commuters heading to central london . Vast majority of cars in the queue are there via satnav

@KateM45 And everyone uses sat nav today so not sure what you propose to do about that. Sat nav is probably perversely helping the traffic situation in London by redirecting cars away from the worst spots and balancing out the flow from the busier main roads.

@KateM45 Traffic is non linear. Doesn’t take a huge increase to cause huge problems. We have one of Europe’s largest civil engineering projects right on our doorstep and Knight Dragon building 16000 homes on the peninsula. If you think it’s all rat runners then I have to politely disagree

@hillcrestboy The traffic queuing down Vanbrugh hill and cutting at great speed through side roads Calvert/ Hawthorne, is not going to the Greenwich centre - it is through traffic heading west to central london. Yes local people have deliveries but drop in the ocean compared to ratrunners.

@KateM45 You are completely missing my point. Those residents order Amazon deliveries Ubers. Have tradesmen. Maintenance. Commercial traffic. Visitors. These developments create massive amounts of additional traffic even though the residents don’t drive.

@hillcrestboy It is a mainly car free development except for some of the town houses . The families who live there are the people walking to the station /local schools using the buses , cycling etc etc -

@hillcrestboy A group of residents did a detailed survey of delays on Vanbrugh hill and where traffic was going months after the west Greenwich LTN was lifted - Result was appalling - the worst it had been. It’s worse now. NB do you think local traders businesses benefit from this situation ?

@KateM45 Councillors will pat themselves for on the back for signing off on green developments with bike racks and no parking permits forgetting the residents are bringing with them huge amounts of commercial traffic by their mere existence. Madness.
