Streamers/content creators playing a video game can actually help less people buy it because they can just watch the streamer play it instead. For a franchise as large as Harry Potter, everyone is going to know the game exists regardless of if the streamers play it or not, so offering an alternative way to experience the game could actually be beneficial. The streamer buys it themself so viewers don’t have to. I think streamers boycotting a game would only work on a franchise that’s small enough that it’s desperate for content creators to give them exposure.

I don't necessarily agree with the rule, but subscribers could forget that they're subbed. Happens all the time with how many subscription services we have these days. But I think they have some other motive for doing this, because let's be real; Twitch doesn't actually care about helping people save their money.

Whitewashing vs turning a character black is not comparable. The amount of light-skinned characters compared to black characters in media is so overwhelming, that the desire for more black representation is valid and is not inherently racist. Meanwhile, there is literally no reason to whitewash a character when there are so many more of them compared to black characters, so the representation argument is not valid in such cases. That is why whenever a character is whitewashed, the intent behind it is so blatantly racist.
