This week, the #TRU team were on hand to help the fantastic Mirfield in Bloom group as they prepped the town for the Yorkshire in Bloom awards. 🌧️ The rain didn’t stop volunteers from cleaning the streets and planting flowers around Mirfield, a town on our Transpennine route. 🛠️ TRU will bring a range of benefits to the town of Mirfield as we remodel the station to accommodate more tracks for more trains, and ensure full accessibility with step-free lifts.

Finally got round to trying the ‘world famous’ Bruce from get-baked.co.uk This is a quarter of one slice, it’s huge. And….. meh. Honestly it was massively disappointing for me. The cake was super dense and the ganache, though delicious, was just way too much. It was more ganache than cake and I couldn’t even finish this quarter slice. Imagine eating a whole block of butter and you’re about there. If it was a light, fluffy cake with a less dense ganache it would be lovely, but that’s a completely different cake… Oh and it’s £15 a slice.

Three great new projects underway just before the Easter bank holiday. A multi unit housing development, a beautiful renovation & extension project, and a bespoke new build home. Have a great bank holiday everyone!

The Nürburgring has lost its most famous female racing driver. Sabine Schmitz passed away far too early after a long illness. We will miss her and her cheerful nature. Rest in peace Sabine!

@Leedsjohnlufc @ellymelly It’s not the case the steeple was linked to obelisk grove house which was demolished which sat in the field behind. I think what you may be referring to is that it was once the meeting point for the luddites that tried to burn down Cartwright mill in Cleckheaton. Not capitalism.
