The President has plans for South east for rail and road development especially to Enugu and Anambra. He talked about this during his last campaign for the election. This development will start during his second term. I believe there are going to be sub links to the South east states from coaster road. There is going to be land port somewhere there in the east.

WHY IS SOUTH EAST NOT IN TINUBU'S RAIL AND ROAD PROJECTS? I am Igbo, and I will be brutally honest: Nigeria’s economic map does not respect sentiment — it respects structure. Many of us are shouting: “Why are president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s railways and inter-regional roads linking mainly the North-West to the South-South and South-West?” Let’s drop emotions and face economic reality. Nigeria’s strongest economic triangle today is simple: North-West/North is food production (grains, livestock, onions, tomatoes). South-South is oil & gas (over 80% of Nigeria’s export earnings historically). South-West (Lagos axis) is Nigeria's hub for markets, ports, finance and consumption hub. This is not politics — this is economic geography. History already showed us this formula works: During colonial rule, rail lines like the Lagos-Kano Railway (built between 1898–1912) were designed to move groundnuts, cotton, and tin from the North to Lagos ports. That single logistics backbone turned cities like Kano into industrial trading giants in the early 20th century. Even today: Kano’s Dawanau market is one of the largest grain markets in West Africa. Lagos accounts for over 60% of Nigeria’s commercial activity. The Niger Delta still generates the bulk of forex earnings. Now look at modern projects: Lagos-Ibadan Railway – boosting trade from Lagos ports inland. Warri-Itakpe Railway – linking iron ore, inland trade, and southern ports. Ongoing coastal and inter-state highway expansions connecting Delta, Edo, Lagos corridors. These are not random. They are trying to rebuild Nigeria’s economic arteries to facilitate trade. Let me say the hard truth as an Igbo man: The South-East is not being punished — it is being challenged. Where is our regional economic integration plan? Where are the rail links connecting Aba–Onitsha–Nnewi–Port Harcourt at scale? Aba alone was once called the “Japan of Africa” for manufacturing. Onitsha has one of the largest markets in West Africa. Yet: No functional high-capacity rail evacuating goods. Poor federal highway connectivity. Fragmented regional lobbying. That's no one's fault. We abandoned the politics of alliance and continued to show that we're not interested in Nigeria. No one on the table of decision making on our behalf. Igbo politicians in the government are weakened and can't negotiate on our behalf because they don't have our backing. That's to our disadvantages not to them. We play politics of bitterness and emotions. This is the consequence. But one truth we can't deny is that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has an economic development plan that's working. Countries that exploded economically followed this exact pattern of ... The American Transcontinental Railroad (1869) unified U.S. markets and economic boom. China’s rise accelerated after massive rail/highway expansion under Deng Xiaoping’s reforms. Infrastructure ALWAYS goes first. Inclusion comes later — if you position yourself. So what is the real issue? Not “why are they connecting North-West, South-South, South West with South East?" The real question is: Why is the South-East not aggressively positioning itself inside that network? Economic power is not given. Instead we must plugg into the grid. Let me say this again... If agricultural belts, oil hubs, and mega markets are already being connected… - You don’t complain. - You organize. - You demand inclusion with strategy, not emotion. You don't win in Nigeria by pity or agitation . You win by strategically connecting with others. Nigeria is gradually transforming into an economy of logistics, production, and movement of goods. The earlier we understand this, the faster every region — especially the South-East — will take its rightful place at the table. South East quit Agitations...connect. If that will not happen again then police force need to be reform. The police should know that they are there to safeguard the citizens. And no matter the crime committed by the citizens he or she must first step to the floor of police station. Our police should imitate the western police character. They should allow court of justice to do their job either someone should be sent to jail or not it is left for judiciary to decide. Police should not directly judge the citizens by killing.

The Nigeria Police Force acknowledges that this action was wrong. On 26 April 2026, in Effurun, Delta State, Mene Ogidi lost his life due to the unjustified use of force by a Police officer. Officers responded to a report of a suspect apprehended at Benin Motor Park with a concealed Beretta pistol. While efforts were being made to take him into custody, Asp Nuhu Usman discharged his firearm. The circumstances surrounding the incident, as reflected in the circulating video and preliminary findings, indicate a clear violation of established regulations. A man has lost his life, and a family is grieving. The Delta State Commissioner of Police has directed the Area Commander to bring ASP Usman and his team to Force Headquarters in Abuja. The Force Disciplinary Committee will review the case, followed by criminal prosecution. Accountability will be enforced without exception. The Force leadership extends its deepest condolences to Mene Ogidi’s family and assures them that justice will be served fully without compromise. To the people of Effurun and all Nigerians, your concerns are heard. The Force remains committed to ensuring that such actions are properly addressed and do not occur again.

EFFURUN SHOOTING: POLICE ASSURE JUSTICE AS OFFICER FACES DISCIPLINARY ACTION The Nigeria Police Force condemns the fatal shooting of a suspect, Mene Ogidi, which occurred on 26th April 2026 in Effurun, Delta State. Preliminary reports indicate that operatives attached to the Effurun Area Command responded to credible information from Benin Motor Park along the Warri–Sapele Expressway regarding a suspect apprehended by members of a transport union while attempting to waybill a parcel containing a Beretta pistol with four rounds of ammunition. While efforts were being made to take the suspect into lawful custody, the team leader, ASP Nuhu Usman, discharged his firearm in clear violation of extant regulations, resulting in the death of the suspect. The leadership of the Nigeria Police Force has directed the immediate transfer of the officer and his team to Force Headquarters, Abuja, where they would face the Force Disciplinary Committee for summary disciplinary measures and prosecution. The Inspector-General of Police extends his condolences to the family of the deceased and assures them that justice will be served in accordance with the law. He further urges members of the public to remain calm and law-abiding as the disciplinary and legal processes take their course. The Nigeria Police Force maintains a zero-tolerance stance on extra-judicial actions, abuse of authority, and any conduct that undermines public trust. This is one of reasons state police is better. When you transfer people of other ethnic to other region this is the result. Assuming the police is Delta man, probably he will not like to kill him because he knows he is own people instead take him to the police station. Now we see what Dan boron ba mean.

Only a sēriěl k!llęr would shøøt a bound suspect in cøld bløød like that. At this point, he pøsed no threat to anyone. These police officers are cøld-bløøded mørderers. The shøøter must thoroughly and ultimately investigated because he probably knows something that would implicate him, i mean, why shoot the young man whilst he was telling them that he wasn't aware of what's in the bag and they should take him to Sapele so that he will show them his guy that gave him the thing to way bill, that he doesn't know anything about the gûn, but they shøt. There’s every possibility that the gun found on the suspect is owned or was sold by one of the officers in the team that shøt the guy.

This is Usman Nuhu. Yesterday, Usman Nuhu and his unit, operating under the Effurun Area Command in Delta State, brutally killed an unidentified young man. Background on Usman Nuhu: Formerly attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS, formerly known as SARS), where he has faced multiple allegations of extrajudicial killings. Previously posted at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Illah. Reportedly transferred due to repeated misconduct and excessive use of force. Usman Nuhu is currently in police custody. However, he did not act alone. Other officers involved in the incident are reportedly being shielded, with strong indications of an ongoing cover-up.

Obidients are getting cool, they are little bit quiet since they understood that Obi may likely lose the primary election to Atiku. And Atiku also likely to choose Makinde as his running mate if he wins. In any case, Obi presidential ambition for 2027 may be jeopardized if he fails to grab ADC presidential ticket. Obi is a political target in this case since he won't be able to move to another party if he doesn't move now.

The simple answer is they see Obi as an alternative to the Biafra agenda and an easy way to release Nnamdi Kanu if Obi is elected as a president perhaps if he wins an ADC primary. If it is possible to pay for Obi just to win the ADC primary the die-hard Obidients will do so. Now if ADC goes for primary and Obi does not win, the die-hard Obidients will move him to another party. If the opportunity fails and the Biafra agenda also fails what else do you expect from them?

If Obi is the most popular candidate, why are they begging people to step down for him? I really do not get it. This is logic turn upside down. A popular candidate should be able to win an election fair and square, whether primary or otherwise I've never heard of popular candidates begging people to step down before. Not once in Nigeria's history.

Fun fact: both are of Yoruba origin. What we know as Edo bridal attire today is classic Ife empire women attire. It is now Edo bridal attire cos Ife influenced Benin heavily and till today, Benin runs on Ife civilization.

Today, with the aim of safeguarding Nigeria’s democracy, we hosted a national summit that brought together opposition political party leaders, members of civil society and other relevant stakeholders. As I said in my welcome remarks, democracy is not defined by the success of one party. It is defined by the existence of real alternatives, by the ability of citizens to choose, and by the confidence that those choices matter. So, let me once again, thank everyone who participated in our deliberations and ensured that the Ibadan Declaration 2026 was birthed. Read my welcome address here seyimakinde.com/national-summi…

PRESS STATEMENT INCITING VIOLENCE - GOVERNOR MAKINDE, YOU ARE UNWORTHY OF THE OFFICE YOU OCCUPY While addressing a summit of opposition political parties in Ibadan, yesterday, Saturday, April 25, 2026, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state invoked the bloody history of “Operation Wetie” to incite Nigerians to violence over his baseless and senseless allegation of the country’s descent into a one party state. The All Progressives Congress (APC) categorically condemns Governor Makinde’s incitement as reckless, and a clear and present threat to peace and national security. It is particularly disturbing for a sitting Governor who bears constitutional responsibility as the Chief Security Officer of his state to conjure up one of the darkest episodes of political violence in Nigeria’s history to threaten violence against the people and government of Nigeria. By his incitement to violence, Makinde has showed himself to be unworthy of the high office of Governor that he occupies. Makinde’s violent rhetoric cannot be dismissed as mere opposition posturing. His statement risks fueling anarchy, murderous rage and widespread lawlessness capable of undermining national stability. We therefore call on all relevant security and intelligence agencies to take this unfortunate development seriously and act to safeguard lives, property, and defend Nigeria’s democratic order. Makinde must be reminded that constitutional immunity from prosecution is not immunity from accountability for threats or acts against national security. No individual, however highly placed, should have the power to threaten or endanger the lives and safety of Nigerians or upend the country’s hard-won democratic governance under the guise of political commentary. The APC, again, vehemently rejects attempts by confused opposition leaders to frame their internal shambles in alarmist narratives about so-called one-party domination. The opposition parties are victims of self-inflicted injuries arising from anti-democratic practices, miserably poor leadership, internal contradictions, utter disregard for due process and the rule of law, persistent factionalization, and the desperate and dissonant presidential ambitions of their leaders. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was destroyed by Atiku Abubakar’s ruthless confiscation of the PDP’s 2023 presidential ticket in violation of the party’s constitutionally entrenched rotational zoning formula. The Labour Party (LP) was effectively subverted by the restless nomadic disposition of its 2023 presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, permanently swinging from one party to another in search of free and uncontested presidential ticket. The African Democratic Congress (ADC), so-called coalition platform, was basically stillborn, strangled by the reckless robbery of that party’s leadership by the same band of marauding opposition figures, never willing to remain and build their parties but always quick to use the revolving door on to the next available party. They have left nothing but desolation in opposition trail. At the APC, we are confident that Nigerians are discerning and recognize that a party so grossly unable to manage its own internal affairs cannot be entrusted with the governance of Africa’s most populous and important country. These opposition leaders and their coalition of confusion have not put anything forward by way of an alternative vision for Nigeria’s development. All they have in their arsenal is fear mongering built on false narratives about the APC. Our great Party rejects the veiled expectation of opposition leaders that the APC would help them manage their internal affairs. We bear no such duty and will not provide any such leadership consulting services to them. And we will not yield to blackmail to abdicate our duty to our Party to plan, organize and mobilize to compete effectively in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Our democracy is founded on the idea of competing visions of governance and development. Their failure to articulate any alternative vision or policy framework to the visionary and transformative policies of the APC-led administration is on them, and Nigerians are justified in rejecting their gangster antics designed to threaten their way to electoral victory. Nigeria’s democratic space remains as robust as can be. With nearly two dozen parties registered and participating freely in the country’s electoral process, the opposition’s unjustifiable attacks on our great Party, and their threats of violence is nothing but primitive capitulation, an admission of incompetence, and a peremptory alibi for what is looking to be a fantastic rebuke at the hands of the Nigerian electorate come 2027. Our great party, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, remains committed to strengthening democratic institutions, upholding the rule of law, and delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda for the peace, unity, and prosperity of all Nigerians. Now what are Atikus chances in a three horse race should Obi go solo again and also in a two horse race ? In a three house race Atiku will take atleast 50% of Tinubu votes of 2023 in the north west and north east, and may retain his 2023 NC votes, He may also get at least 80% of Kwankwaso 2023 votes since RMK is not on the ballot, however Atiku will lose his votes from Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Osun. In a two horse race with Obi as VP, Atiku can add to his kitty the SE and at least 40% of SS, his percentage in the NC will also increase by like 10%, this ticket may give a landslide victory even against an incumbent Tinubu. Outside Obi who can bring the needed traction for victory, the reality is non, the ticket will largely dependent on Atiku northern votes.
Hamma@HAHayatu

2023 Peter got 6.1M vote 2023 can he get those again if he goes solo ? To start with what are the reason he got those numbers ? 1, Regional and ethnic sentiments those made about 40%, this factor is still there. 2, Religious sentiment this factor made about 40% this sentiment may have largely evaporated, religion will not be an issue 2027, Big churches may not even give him their podium like they did 2023 due to fear of incumbent Tinubu 3, Other reasons like End sars people , youth demography etc made 20% this factor may be there or not Peter Obis constituency especially in the north particularly north central have been decimated, now should Atiku step aside as they wish will Obi get Atikus votes , the answer is NO at best he gets 30-40% Atiku votes the rest are also having their ethic, religious and regional sentiment they rather endure 4 more years of Tinubu and get power back to the north 2031. So the best for Peter Obi is still through a pathway of an Atiku if that one fails then we may even kiss a good bye to his presidential ambition forever.

Obi will not participate in the coming election this is not about hatred, because he will not get an ADC presidential ticket, no matter how strong he is politically. Atiku will get it for one particular reason to correct the rotational rule between North and South. This is the reason. If by mistake Obi or Amaechi get the ticket then the mission has completely failed. Northerners will see south rules for 22 years while the north is still under 12 years. The anger will be too much for them.
