Received the Guard of Honour at RINL Steel plant this morning, followed by a comprehensive visit to the plant, including inspection of the Coke Oven Batteries. 🔹 Observed the coke-making process wherein coking coal is subjected to high-temperature carbonisation in the absence of air to produce metallurgical coke, an essential input for blast furnace operations 🔹 Noted that multiple coke ovens operate in an integrated sequence as “batteries”, ensuring continuous, efficient and large-scale production 🔹 Reviewed operational parameters, efficiency and by-product recovery systems critical to plant performance Accompanied by MoS for Steel & Heavy Industries Shri @BjpVarma avaru. Aligned with the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi avaru, we remain committed to advancing Aatmanirbhar Bharat, achieving 300 MT steel capacity by 2030, progressing towards Net Zero by 2070, and realising the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. @SteelMinIndia #RINL #SteelSector #AatmanirbharBharat #ViksitBharat2047 #300MT #NetZero2070

Namaskara, I have authored an opinion piece in @FinancialXpress outlining how carbon capture can power India’s next steel revolution. Guided by the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi avaru and India’s commitment to Net Zero by 2070, the article highlights how strategic investments in carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) can accelerate the decarbonisation of our steel sector while safeguarding growth and global competitiveness. With targeted policy support, green steel taxonomy, hydrogen initiatives and budgetary allocation for CCUS deployment, we are laying the foundation for cleaner, resilient and future-ready steel manufacturing. India’s steel ambitions and climate commitments must advance together and CCUS will be central to that transition. @PMOIndia @MHI_GoI @SteelMinIndia 🇮🇳 #SteelSector #NetZero2070 #GreenSteel #CCUS #ViksitBharat
