How to keep a client for an avg of 20.6 months... Day 5 of 5! Be a creative consigliere. We make ads, that's our job. But we are also creative and smart people who have seen a lot of successes and failures. Want our opinion on landing pages? No problem. Personas? We have thoughts. Offer? We'll tell you what we have seen that works. Even if we aren't be paid for it, any help we can provide that helps the biz or any stage of the funnel will only help our ads do well in the long run. Hell we've even sourced other talent for clients. It's easy to get fired when you just do one thing, even if you do it well. But when you are less of a creator vendor and more of a creative consigliere, you will form a much deeper and lasting relationship. That's the end of the series! Lmk if you want me to do more like this... or I could just yap about openclaw or something...

How to keep a client for an avg of 20.6 months... Day 4 of 5 Flexibility built into the scope! I would say that most agencies, especially fixed fee, create SOWs that are designed to fail. At some point the needs change, the conditions change, the payment changes... and if you need to constantly revisit the scope you are opening up a window where you can get fired. As an agency, you actually DON'T want the client thinking about the SOW... ever. So all our scopes are variable from the beginning. If we get paid more, we make more ads, and vice versa. This has allowed us to scale up AND DOWN with a clients seasonal needs. I'll die on the hill that this is the BEST way to work for performance agencies. Because of this we have clients where we haven't touched the SOW in YEARS. We never need to ask for more fee, they never need to ask for more deliverables. It just works.

Breakthrough Creatives Officially Turns 1 Today 🎉 Crazy to see how far we've come and what we've achieved in only a year. The great part is we're only getting started. Here's Year 2 and Beyond 🚀
Oliver Blackshaw@oliverblackshaw

Been working on this for the past 4 months. This is the result, pumped for the next chapter. It’s official, we’ve rebranded to Breakthrough Creatives 🎉 I’ve always wanted to build a creative agency but it’s never been the right time. Well, the time has come.

I strongly disagree. Computer vision can watch, transcribe and read your ads frame by frame. And if you share data with it, it's the perfect use case for AI. I built a tool in Google AI studio and uploaded tens of pages of context on creative strategy, concepts, hooks, books like breakthrough advertising, script guidelines, etc. Now I can upload 30+ ads with a CSV including data by ad name and it spits out better creative analysis than 99% of creative strategists would be able to. There is no way a human could analyse 30+ videos as quickly as this tool while remembering each script, each hook, each concept, each stage of awareness, and so on. And then quickly spot trends + suggest improvements or new ads. It's literally impossible for a human to do this in a reasonable amount of time. And even with infinite time the human will miss something.

Media buyers and creative strategists are safe...😅 AI won't ever replace good creative analysis for one simple fact: It's already extremely difficult to do this well for humans. Not because humans lack the mental skills, but because the data inputs are atrocious. Every ad is a collection of 4 variables: ✅ Concept ✅ Script ✅ Creator ✅ Editor Guess which of those you have data on? Zero. If an ad fails to spend you have no idea where the weak point is. A human with experience will have "vibes". Don't discount that! Vibes have been the engine of success for thousands of years. But an AI doesn't even have that. It doesn't "see" ads the way a human does. Then toss these 4 vibes-based variables into the black box of meta ads and you are just adding more variables: ✅ media buying setup ✅ aTriButIOn ✅ comically low data ✅ parroted talking points about "how meta works" And from all this uncertainty we are supposed to have confidence in what ad worked and why? With enough data and experience, a human can do this analysis and probably get it wrong most of the time. That's ok. There is a reason why most ads AREN'T winners. But an AI? This is the EXACT scenario that is primed for hallucination. An AI is going to be confidently incorrect at this analysis 100% of the time. This is NOT what AI is good at. It's literally built different. The good news is that ad analysis is still as important as ever, and improving your hit rate, little by little over time really compounds into scaling ad accounts. It's human-grade work that requires reps and experience. Hire/fire accordingly.

No he didn’t say that. I’m speaking more to the broader picture. Every business has to fight for margin. If you keep team members that don’t create margin or don’t adopt technology that would create margin specifically because you want to keep those team members you’ll get competed away over time. I suppose what I’m saying is: “it sucks for us as humans that the product that used to require 32 people now only requires 19 people. But the business has no choice over time but to deliver that product with 19 people”

The inevitable problem with trying to build a single dashboard for so many different businesses. Also why the world will move to “Infinite UI” and always from templated dashboards entirely. There is just no barrier to having UI exactly as you want it.

Some user feedback @ShopifySupport @harleyf. The new date selecting tool is incredibly cumbersome, over-engineered, and non-intuitive. What use to take about 3 clicks now seems to take 7-8 clicks.

Claude code + OpenGrift GL is f*cking cracked! 🤯 With just one ONE PROMPT you get: →467 meta ads ready to ship →All pre-tested with Manus synthetic results → AI testimonials from customers who will exist eventually → Termination letters for your production team → A fully autonomous agent swarm that cannot be held liable in any Delaware jurisdiction, we checked. Perfect for agencies or freelancers who need to report "we launched 500 creatives this month" without anyone asking what happened next. No tweaking. No learnings. No data. Just ship. Every generation comes with 3 customizable excuses for why there were no winners. The oneshot workflow only takes 8 seconds 👇 → Enter your brand name (product not requred) → Select compliance threshold: Low, Lower, or Off →OpenGrift clones 500 winning ads and "remixes" them legally (pending) How do I know what a winning ad is? I've scraped the entire ad library of all 3,420 generational DTC brands and used HeyLucy 8 to one-shot their secrets. I even generated the below screenshot which clearly shows over $8M spend on something. And it's all yours for free. All you need to do is → Like this post → Comment "INDEMNIFY" Must be following so I can DM you the sauce. Or just wait 10 minutes and use my email capture. 🤷‍♂️ LFG!
