Birds can sleep on branches without falling because their feet have a special locking mechanism. When a bird lands and bends its legs, tendons in its legs automatically tighten and lock its toes around the branch. This means the bird doesn't have to consciously grip the branch while sleeping. The grip remains locked even when the bird is fully asleep, and it releases automatically when the bird straightens its legs to take off. Some birds can even sleep with one half of their brain awake while the other half rests. This helps them stay alert for predators while still getting sleep.

The slow loris looks harmless because of its big round eyes, tiny hands, fluffy fur, and gentle movements. Its cute, teddy bear like appearance makes it seem friendly and defenseless. Nevertheless, appearances can be deceiving. The Slow Loris is one of the few venomous mammals in the world. When threatened, it mixes a toxin from glands near its elbows with its saliva and can deliver a venomous bite. Its large eyes are specially adapted for seeing in the dark, helping it find insects, fruit, and small animals at night.

The anglerfish lives in the dark depths of the ocean where sunlight cannot reach. To catch prey, it uses a glowing lure attached to its head like a fishing rod. The light is produced by bioluminescent bacteria living inside the lure. Small fish and other sea creatures are attracted to the mysterious glow and swim closer to investigate. When they get within reach, the anglerfish suddenly opens its huge mouth and swallows them in a fraction of a second.

No child should live in fear or disappear because of insecurity. Nigeria deserves peace, safety, and justice. We must stand together against banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism. Protecting our schools and communities is a responsibility for all of us. Together, our voices can bring change. 🇳🇬 #SaveNigeria
