Some Zubimendi discourse feels crazy disingenuous. Was a T3 performer in the first half of the season and logged 3,000 minutes with little to no rotation until Myles came in. That and adapting to a completely new game model with new on- and off-ball demands.

@hitaboutit When the spaces are tight and the block is deeper his lack of elite close-control dribbling will still obviously be seen. Which is a bulk of how we play and how we are played. PSG probably the best it can get for him environment wise as well.

I like Barcola. Top for his profile. But I’m not sure people are factoring how his game will change when we ask him to start at a deeper average position + at slower pace. Don’t think you pay premium for a *runner unless you already harbor the perfect environment.

First clip — He generates a big chance through an intelligent run in behind the defenders. PSG’s CBs have this exact weakness. A striker capable of generating chances through smart in-behind runs will get opportunities against them, especially if there’s a willing passer behind him. Second clip — He creates a big chance for Eze through a channel run from a long pass into the RHS channel. This is another major PSG weakness: channel defending. Their fullbacks push so high that it leaves huge spaces between them and the CBs for a channel-running striker to exploit.
