Okay… it’s officially time for the Sixers to tell us the truth about Joel Embiid. Things do not add up: • tears meniscus for 3rd time on 1/31/24 • returns on 4/2/24 just nine weeks after knee surgery • plays on one leg throughout playoffs • admits on Drew Hanlen pod that he couldn’t jump in playoff series vs Knicks • plays in Olympics in July 2024 • Embiid gets contract extension despite reports that the Sixers consulted with numerous doctors & knew he was still injured • misses first 9 games of season due to “ramping up” • Sixers win 10/13 games including huge win on Xmas. Embiid apparently “sprains his foot” yet we have no evidence of it other than tripping in pregame • Embiid rests vs SAC due to rest, gets blown out by GS the following night. • Embiid plays two days later and Sixers blow out Nets. • Embiid then misses 6 games in a row. Nick Nurse has no updates on his condition & the Sixers have lost 5/6 since he went out. My Conclusion: Joel Embiid returned too early from the knee injury last year and it has never fully recovered. They are hiding it. He’s a great player when on the floor & the team has shown potential but we just don’t know if he’ll ever get back on the floor consistently. Sad situation.

Nurse indicates he’s expecting to see more of their guys (e.g. Embiid) available for back to backs with a congested schedule coming up. “There should be some improvement in that…we’d probably like to be hoping guys are playing whether it’s a back to back or not”
