@Teacherman1986 2016: “Don’t start, stop, then restart” 2025: “Finish the load, then wait” Cherry-pick your narrative. Move the goalposts like you always do. You can’t run forever.

@hittingmeta You’re trying to save face now. There is a pause. The ‘pause without the pause’ is a well known HLP cue/phrase. It’s obvious in great players. Pay attention. They don’t launch the instant they get their load. There is time between. There is a pause in the unload.

Studying Bellinger’s timing. He times the finish of his load and his launch to the same moment in time. No time between them. Most great hitters have two timings, they time the load to a moment then time the launch to a later moment. They have a pause between the two timings. I’m posting the full length view and then Ive shortened the space to get a better view. It looks like he starts his load at or very near pitch release with the intent to go right into his launch at load completion. I teach have the load finished so you’re waiting on the pitch to launch. You’ll rarely be rushed. PS. This is a swing and miss. I’m not criticizing. I videoed only this one pitch to get an idea on what his starting point is. Former MVP. Very good outfielder. Fast. 25 homers so far. Interesting technique

@Teacherman1986 You're dodging. Scroll up. You said: “They have a pause between the two timings.” A pause = a stop. A stop = start/stop/restart. You also said you teach hitters to finish the load... and then wait... and then launch. That’s stop/start too.

@Teacherman1986 Saying there’s two timings is like saying a thrower loads the arm back, stops/pauses, then throws. Load seamlessly blends into swing. Load=swing. No pause. One move. One timing. A pause implies a back/forth, A to B swing. Versus on-around, continuous. You used to know this.
