Starting to implement some low-hanging fruit that is specified in the first milestone of the pebble proposal In the next version of @pebble_lang you will be able to define contract states (datums) and spending methods only for that state (state transitions) With pebble, you don't need to worry about matching datums and redeemers You can just focus on your contract logic

I'm starting to see some "divergent votes" supporting pebble but not gerolamo. Usually pointing to "we need more DeFi as rationale" I agree, we need more DeFi And that's why we need BOTH Pebble & tools are needed to BUILD dapps Gerolamo is needed to USE dapps BOTH solve problems with no current solution BOTH have the ultimate goal of improving the Cardano experience at 360 NOW GO VOTE! We are experimenting with runnable examples on the pebble website 👨‍💻 the code you see is not typescript, is a smart contract programming language for Cardano yes, even with for loops and mutable variables 🙈 Pebble is included in the HLabs budget proposal for 2026 👀

A lot of people in Cardano don't appreciate the open source infrastructure & tools that makes this ecosystem actually usable for new developers. So here's my perspective after shipping a full SAP-Cardano integration over the last few months. With my Catalyst proposal I wanted to use the most advanced, modern stack available for connecting SAP to Cardano. Native, fast, secure. On the SAP side, it was clear that TS was really the only option that made sense. But on Cardano? Do i had to learn Haskell first? No. Because people in this ecosystem built tools and libraries that let developers from other ecosystems work with Cardano without starting from zero. Since I went with TypeScript, the biggest shoutout goes to @MicheleHarmonic and the entire @hlabs_tech stack with plu-ts, cardano-ledger-ts, and especially Buildooor as a native TS transaction builder. Not sure what I would have done without it. 👷 Buildooor is significantly easier to use than CSL, by the way. If you've worked with both, you know. @blockfrost_io and Koios for Cardano APIs. Reliable, well-documented, and they just work. @blinklabs_io for a dockerized Cardano CLI that I could just pull and use for signing tests. No local node setup, no hours of syncing. Just works. @_KtorZ_ for Ogmios and its TypeScript client for a live WebSocket connection directly against a Cardano node. And these are exactly the tools & areas we need to keep developing and funding if we want Cardano to be useful and play a role in the future. Not more marketing. Not more governance drama. Better developer tooling, node diversity and infrastructure. And yes. Now is exactly the right time. Thank you for your attention.

Everyday I see a coordinated effort to move away from the permissionless and trustless principles, from the tooling and infrastructure layer to the application layer Everyday I see excuses and justification to rebuild the same financial model where a few entities do have the control over you It is not enough to have a permissionless L1 but centralized applications on top This is why we do what we do at Hlabs Starting from the very bottom with Gerolamo up to applications like @gravitycardano First principles cannot be compromised with at any level

@IOHK_Charles love this vision! @hlabs_tech could help on almost all fronts On the DeFi side @gravitycardano will be source-available and can push the entire DeFi ecosystem forward with its patterns designed specifically for eUTxO, which also means we can get apps that take advantage of improvements like Leios without the tradeoffs a L2 like hydra might introduce On the DevExp side @pebble_lang could be as helpful as Aiken as soon as the tooling for the language improves And with Gerolamo we are involved on the infrastructure side from the bottom up Just letting you know we are right behind you ready to help
