“Rewriting Global Orthodoxy” has been an incredible project to think with and it was lovely to be at @Radboud_Uni for its concluding conference. Special thanks to @hlvdberg for spearheading this generative space on religion and migration.

I’ve been following the work of #Iraqi artists for quite a long time. Their work has an unparalleled elegance and a spirit I am in love with 💜💚 So - every Saturday, I’ll grace your timeline with the art of a favourite 🪄✨ This will be an ongoing thread 😊 1️⃣ Wasmaa Al-Agha

(At least) some who are called Kurds in Israel are actually Assyrians and speak Neo Aramaic. (I remember an academic explaining all this on Israeli TV, but I can't find it..) youtu.be/5oVp0HlWT8g

@The_Archpoet @PembrokeOxford Ah, great! That sure is something I try to address in that piece. In my Scribes and Scriptures I’ve tried to address the importance of (Syriac) colophons for historical research a bit more broadly, over and above the issue of ‘historical data’ that happen to be included.

@hlvdberg @PembrokeOxford This is fascinating! Thank you very much for sharing it with me. By the way, my 4th lecture in the series on Armenian colophons is entitled "Colophons as Sources for Women’s History".
