Bahaa el-Din Ahmed Hussein el-Akkad was a respected Egyptian Muslim imam who led a mosque in the Al-Haram district of Giza, Cairo. For over 20 years he was a member of the fundamentalist Islamic group Tabligh and Da’wa, and in 1994 he published a 500-page book titled “Islam: the Religion” reviewing the traditional beliefs of the Islamic faith. After years of studying both Islam and Christianity, el-Akkad converted to Christianity in January 2005. In handwritten notes later smuggled out of prison, he wrote that anyone who studies both religions seriously and objectively will choose the Christian way. On April 6, 2005, just three months after his conversion, Egypt’s State Security Intelligence arrested him. He was accused of “insulting a heavenly religion,” a misdemeanor under Article 98-F of the Egyptian penal code. In July 2006, a Cairo court ordered his release. The State Security ignored the order and transferred him to the maximum-security Wadi el-Natroun Prison in the desert, where most Egyptian Islamists convicted of anti-government activities are held. He was reportedly told he would remain there indefinitely unless he agreed to inform on other converts. He was finally released on April 28, 2007, after two years of imprisonment without formal charges. To this day Christians all around the world are persecuted for their faith. Pray for them.

@AllTwistedHopes @A3az1990 @realMaalouf No one can act on behalf of God Almighty; He alone forgives sins. It is our duty to worship Him as He commanded us and to grant us Paradise as He promised. But you have become slaves to a priest to whom you confess, and he decides whether to forgive you or punish you.

@A3az1990 @realMaalouf In Islam you never know if your sins are forgiven until the day of judgement. When it’s too late. With Christ, you’re forgiven the moment you confess your sins and place your faith in Christ your Savior. You’re saved from damnation! Trust Christ, not a dead man buried at Medina.

@realMaalouf From light to darkness, from monotheism to polytheism, from upholding rights to their loss. O God, keep us steadfast in Your obedience, show me the truth as it truly is, and grant me the ability to follow it. Do not let our hearts stray after worshipping You.

Obamas’ Iran treaty, he never submitted to the Senate. Is dead in the rubble of Iran’s nuclear ☢️ program. Trump destroyed the fruits of Obamas cash transfers. Obama also helped terrify the Gulf states, so the “Abraham Accords” were born, as a result of Obamas evil actions. Now Mousad 🇮🇱 talks with the Arab states and Saudi Arabia. 🇸🇦 Never thought peace between the Arabs and Israelis would happen like this!

Hope isn’t blind optimism — it arises in the face of uncertainty. If you look at our history, we’ve gone through some rough patches. But we tend to come out on the other side of them stronger than before.

As Muslims it would not occur to us to burn a Bible or Torah. We do not believe these books (in their present form) are the truth, but we accept there are elements of truth in them so we have some respect for them. So why do right wing Christians burn the Qur'an? If you are secure in your faith why would you do that? How deeply childish and intolerant. Also, if you believe in God you are taking a massive gamble because you are literally burning the Word of God which will have dire spiritual and afterlife consequences for you. You think you're setting fire to a book but in reality you are setting fire to yourself.

@trad_west_ Islam is not diminished by those who do not embrace it, nor by those who leave it. How many Christians or priests have left Christianity and embraced Islam? This is the word of God Almighty: "So whoever God wills to guide - He expands his breast to [accept] Islam."

@sacredchad_ig Yes, Jesus, peace be upon him, was one of the strong prophets and was not weak. He strived in the way of God and healed the sick, the blind, and the lepers by God's permission.

Today Jesus is often portrayed as a weak, passive figure with no authority or strength. But the biblical Jesus drove merchants out of the Temple with a whip, walked into Jerusalem knowing He would be crucified, stood alone before the most powerful empire on earth without flinching, and died willingly to save those who betrayed Him. He spoke truth when truth was dangerous. He loved without weakness. He led without compromise. He sacrificed without hesitation.

LGBTQ-aligned Bishop Yvette Flunder says the Bible has become a big problem and that she wants to change it by writing her own testament. She declares herself above God and says she wants to rip out the pages she doesn’t like so no one can read them ever again. “We need a third testament.” "The Bible has become problematic."

@realMaalouf Reciting the Adhan in a child's ear is a confirmed Sunnah of the Prophet, but not in this manner. The Adhan should be whispered, not recited aloud.

@alinavisooo_net I don't understand how you can believe that Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, was crucified, then hold the cross smiling, and say that you love him and that he is your God. You didn't grieve for his death, nor did you seek revenge against those who killed him. What kind of love

60 Christians were killed in an attack in the northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. They were murdered by Muslims for the crime of refusing to convert to Islam. Where's Pope Leo on this and the "religion of peace" that we should be less fearful of?
