@CoyDavidsonCRE We are seeing a huge push by utilities to increase generation based on the lack of available power. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the older generation facilities were put back online with some sort of cleaning to the output and/or process.

The AI boom is putting a strain on the US power grid. Data centers are projected to consume as much electricity as major economies. Data center folks are all eager to have a chat with power companies, but talk about bad timing! These utilities are currently busy getting rid of their old coal plants to embrace greener alternatives.

Per Wikipedia : More popular in the United States than in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo has become associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture. Celebrations began in Columbia, California, where they have been observed annually since 1862. The day gained nationwide popularity beyond those of Mexican-American heritage in the 1980s due to advertising campaigns by beer, wine, and tequila companies; today, Cinco de Mayo generates beer sales on par with the Super Bowl. In Mexico, the commemoration of the battle continues to be mostly ceremonial, such as through military parades or battle reenactments. The city of Puebla marks the event with various festivals and reenactments of the battle.

Hard disagree on your comments. Regardless of field you get some folks that get back to you and some folks that don’t. It also depends on the situation. I know principals at law firms, environmental firms, engineering firms, and in house corporate re folks that always take my call or call back within an hour.

I find that most successful CRE brokers are hustlers and very responsive. Lawyers, environmental consultants, engineers, corporate clients (Director of RE) in my experience are not as responsive and at times take over a week to respond to simple requests/emails. Why is this?
