Another Nats prospect I’m happy to buy at current prices Fien briefly debuted at Single-A Hickory in 2025, slashing .220/.267/.341 with 7 RBI across 10 games before the season ended. He currently ranks as the Nationals' No. 5 prospect and will likely return to Single-A to open 2026 as a 19-year-old, with a realistic MLB debut timeline of 2028-2029. He has no significant injury history. His 1st Bowman Chrome Auto is from 2025 Bowman Draft (CPA-GF), with raw autos last selling around $15-25, a fair price for a first-round prep bat with plus raw power. The bull case envisions a third baseman who hits .275 with 25-plus home runs and uses his advanced barrel awareness and plus arm to become an everyday corner infielder, with the unconventional swing mechanics working just fine as they did throughout his amateur career. The bear case is that the moving parts in his swing get exposed by professional pitching, the fringy speed limits his defensive range at third base, and without the ability to play shortstop his value becomes entirely dependent on the bat, which may not develop enough to carry a corner-only profile.

If you’ve followed me at all you know I just like talking about Wetherholt. Our recently published profile: Wetherholt is a strong candidate to make the Cardinals' 2026 Opening Day roster or earn a call-up very early in the season, having already dominated Triple-A. His 1st Bowman Chrome Auto in 2025 Bowman Baseball (CPA-JW) last sold for $274.60 raw. The bull case is that Wetherholt profiles as a perennial batting title contender with 20-homer, 20-steal potential, and his near-MLB-ready status means production could validate card prices quickly. An imminent debut with a storied franchise like St. Louis adds collector appeal. The bear case revolves around the injury history and questions about whether the power is enough to be a true impact bat at the major league level. If he settles into a 12-15 homer profile at second base, the ceiling is a very good player but perhaps not a superstar, which could cap long-term card upside.

Unless I am way off odds there’s a few thousand of each Image Variation and Nickname card for 2026 Topps Heritage. Unlike Deckle which is probably closer to 500 (way larger checklist despite way better odds). Either way I’d give prices a week before eyeing any singles…

At a $5 Bowman auto, I think he’s a guy who’s worth the risk. Here’s our recently published profile on Sime. Sime will begin his professional career in 2026, likely in the Complex League, and will pitch the entire season at just 18 years old. He was an LSU signee before the Nationals signed him away with the over-slot bonus. His MLB debut timeline is 2028-2029 if he develops as a starter, potentially sooner as a reliever. The bull case is tantalizing: a teenager throwing 100 mph with projection remaining and an improving curveball has frontline starter upside. If the Nationals' player development can refine his mechanics and command, the raw stuff is as good as any prep arm in the 2025 class. The bear case is that high school power arms with below-average control have one of the highest bust rates in the draft. Lower-level hitters will be overwhelmed by the velocity, but professional batters will make him pay if he cannot throw consistent strikes, and the long arm action could lead to durability issues or an eventual move to the bullpen.

What's new in HobbyMonitor this week? 🎉 Prospect preview is live! The top 3 prospects (Konnor Griffin, Kevin McGonigle, Leo De Vries) are now open to all users. If you've been curious about our prospect features, now's your chance. Once these guys graduate, a new three will take their place. 📊 All active prospects now have profiles. I make no claims to be an MLB scout. These profiles are generated from established news and reporting on each prospect, kept up to date as the season progresses. They cover player history, playing profile, and a for/against case relative to their Bowman card market. 💎 Graduated prospects are now loaded through 2019, with key 2018 and earlier names starting to appear. Alumni like Paul Skenes, Bobby Witt Jr., and Roman Anthony will show up within their product year dashboard as well.

DeLauter's career has been plagued by injuries. He missed the start of 2025 with core muscle/sports hernia surgery, returned and then fractured his right hamate bone in July requiring another surgery and a 6-8 week absence. Despite all of that, he made his MLB debut on September 30 in the Guardians' wild card series against Detroit. He hit .389 with a 1.117 OPS in seven 2026 spring training games before a minor spring injury sidelined him briefly, though the team indicated it is not serious. He is expected to be a key contributor for Cleveland in 2026.

While my page was suspended I got to read some of the comments from some really wonderful people using my other page. One of the comments was “we don’t have to see him post that Yamamoto 3000 times a day…” something to that effect. Well ser, the challenge has been accepted. If you find it annoying, just know that I do not care. I’m not here for clicks and farming. I’m here to share my journey, collect cards and sell cards. If the Yamamoto bothers you that much, good. That’s all I gotta say. Bye 😘
