Had the honor of meeting Taiwan's ambassador @bikhim and former Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano today. What did we talk about? US-Taiwan technological cooperation and #semiconductors, of course. She is a favorite to become the next Vice President of Taiwan.

34 years ago today Taiwan’s Martial Law was lifted, marking Taiwan’s democratization. Today, we should also commemorate the courageous activists who were blacklisted by the authoritarian gov’t, who gave up their freedom and lives to make Taiwan the vibrant democracy it is today.

I love this—An Asian American 2nd gen must-read. There are so many thoughts in @kuokuomich’s piece that I could never put into words myself, but as I read it, I keep saying to myself, “omg that’s me.”
