@NicholasFerroni @Starbucks When I waited tables, a retired history teacher came in almost every day. He always asked me history questions and we'd banter back & forth. When I graduated with my edu. degree, he gave me a copy of Joan of Arc and a very fancy "scholar's pen" as a gift.I cherish those.

My @Starbucks baristas know I’m a history teacher, so I ask them history questions when I order🙏 #WomensHistoryMonth

@gradyryan1 Something about this photo being in color and not black/white blows my mind even more. Definitely using color photos when we investigate this topic in class this year.

It is hard to believe this happened 🤷♂️. But history is important to know and remind us so we continue to do better in the future.

Eighty-one years ago today, President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, which led to the incarceration of nearly 120,000 Japanese Americans. Families were forced to abandon their homes, communities and businesses to live for years in camps throughout the United States.

@edsbs My father in law has always and will not stop calling it "Covus" and when I saw Baby billy say it I lost it for sure.

@NicholasFerroni @TMZ #2 ... These are awesome! 2,3,&5 all would have gotten me with the click bait.

@happiestteacher @TeachMrReed Oh my goodness! I was scrolling through & this made me remember my 3rd grade teacher flying kites with us (she was also a top notch kickball player). I had not thought of that in years, but the memory just flooded back. Guess I'm going to get some 🪁 for my class. 😊 Have fun!
English

@TeachMrReed That’s me! We flew kites this morning and it was incredible!

@MrIkeSmith @appstateacademy This is such a nice strategy for the classroom! It's amazing how excited humans can get about a large piece of paper.

Thankful for the opportunity tonight to gather with fellow semi-finalists and celebrate! To my sweet husband Josh and two of the best school leaders I know, thanks so much for coming out to celebrate with me! @briana_pelton @kerritraynor

@tate_teacher @MabelSchool This is a very interesting version of, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie! ❤️
English

If you ask 3rd graders to use brown yarn, they might say it looks like worms. If you ask them to make a weaving loom from a plate, they might say it looks like a banjo. Then, they might write an original song about eating fried worms! 😄

@JasonReynolds83 Today in 8th grade we read For Every One. Thank you. We had so many beautiful moments in class bc of your art. These days those moments are even more precious than usual. When the last line was read, one guy said, "Gah this dude is so good. He hits your soul."

@DarcyGrimesNC @Janna_ya A lot of students seem to be missing out on the Lemony Snicket series lately. Always a great read aloud and gets them hooked on the series.
