This was the home where I grew up, studied for exams, drank coffee from little pink cups, and laughed with my siblings. For twenty years, this apartment held our life. Now the roof hangs open to the sky, ready to collapse !!

I tried to engage with you in good faith. Not only did you not answer my very fair questions, you resorted to personal attacks that aren’t even accurate. If this is your approach to your fellow Lebanese, you will contribute further to the polarization and strife in this country. You cannot keep ignoring that many Lebanese are terrified of Israel and want a government that will try to protect them. The lack of a proper national defense and Israel’s relentless aggression are the reasons Hezbollah exists in the first place, everyone knows this. Maybe trade your US residency for a trip to South Lebanon and see if the people there share your enthusiasm for being human shields? No one supports launching 6 useless rockets whose main goal is to bring back Israeli tanks. A real national defense strategy isn’t about committing suicide for the “Supreme Guide”; it’s about removing Iran-led militias and letting our army and diplomacy do their job. It’s easy to talk about “resistance” from a New York couch while the whole country pays the price for these delusions, and a large majority of the population opposes them.
