The way European cities developed it often made sense to build stadium relatively close to the dense CBD. In the US and now all across the world huge new stadiums get built on the outskirts of town. hot take: too many cars is just as bad if not more annoying than no buttons/everything being on a touchscreen in cars. there is a balance, but cars from the mid 80s to the early 2000s often had vast swathes of buttons for every minute control, requiring you to memorise a 6x6
