The trade I want to talk about isn’t one of my winners. It’s this loser right here: -74.36%. While I finished the day green and completed my $100 to $1,000 challenge, this trade is the perfect example of why I keep telling people to be careful with 0DTE contracts. The funny thing is I didn’t even intentionally go looking for a 0DTE trade. My brain automatically slipped back into old habits. I bought it almost subconsciously and didn’t even realize what I had done until I was already in the position. Almost immediately, SPY moved against me by about a dollar and the contract got absolutely smoked. That’s the problem with 0DTE. You have almost no room for error. You can be right on direction and still lose. You can be early and lose. You can hesitate for 30 seconds and lose. You can have a perfect setup and still get wrecked by decay. By the time I finally cut the trade, it was down nearly 80%. The money wasn’t even the biggest problem. The bigger issue was that it clouded my judgment. Instead of focusing on finding the next clean setup, my attention was tied up managing a bad position. That’s how one bad trade turns into two bad trades, then three, then an account blow-up. Thankfully I only trade one contract at a time and I was able to recover. What recovered the account wasn’t another 0DTE gamble. It was going right back to what has been working for me all week: 2 and 3 DTE contracts, base hits, risk management, and patience. The winners that followed were nowhere near as stressful. I had room to be wrong. Room to manage the trade. Room to think. That one red trade is honestly more valuable than all the green ones because it reminded me exactly why I stopped trading 0DTEs in the first place. I still finished the day up 28%. I still broke $1,000. I still completed the challenge. But this screenshot is proof that one careless 0DTE trade can destroy days of hard work in a matter of seconds. Protect your capital. Take your base hits. Give yourself time. The market isn’t paying extra for being in a hurry. 🕷️💚📈

It’s funny because none of my trades are ever losers , they’re always in profits, but people will see profits and not take it and then get mad when they lose money because they didn’t sell

You can pretty much do any ticker. I scalp. I don’t want to be in a position longer than a couple of minutes. So that theta doesn’t eat you alive. I tend to stick with spy, but I really like XSP as well it trades the same as SPX but 1/10 just shoot for base hits 20% each time sell it. Take profit and stack small gains those gains are going to add up overtime. NFA

Shaky start this morning, jumped into puts a little early, and yeah… sold a little early too. But green is green. +27% on the day and I’ll take that every single time. For me, 20%+ is a solid win. Base hits, not home runs. Full transparency on the trades 👇 Took wins on XSP and IWM, gave a little back on QQQ. Stayed disciplined, didn’t spiral, didn’t oversize. That’s the real victory. And now I’m clocking out. This is the goal: Make money in the morning, shut it down, go build my real life. I’ve got a ton of jewelry to make for my biggest festival of the year, and two little humans I’d much rather spend my time with than staring at charts all day. Balance > burnout Consistency > chasing See y’all tomorrow ✌️
