there's still a lot of polish work, finalizing art assets, and playtesting to do. but pretty much everything is in place now. we're in the final steps of the update, so fingers crossed

to be a broken record and say the same things again and again, it's hard to know for sure when the update will be done all i can do is keep working on it when I can, and beg for forgiveness and your patience in the meantime. that's all I can really say ):

We're now halfway into July... I'm starting to see the end of 0.8 development, I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel But as always, the main thing stopping me is a mountain of other work that's blocking the path - other work that I also really care about so-

@TheRedwolf24 every character always gets new outfits every update, yes that's why each update gets crazier and crazier with the amount of assets work required and i refuse to back down and do less

@holocuredev That's fair honestly the only other one i could really think of right now would be Kurokami which i was also curious are any existing characters getting new outfits? Or is the main focus all on new characters for now?

Chloe singlehandedly made me rework a bunch of code to make alternate portraits possible and also add new QoL like being able to set a favorite outfit so that it always starts off with that selection I really like her with the mask, but it also felt wrong to not show her face

@_MaxiTB oh hell nah it's definite spaghetti hacks whatever works without hurting performance and is future proof'd to work in other future scenarios is good enough for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

@holocuredev When you say rework, you mean proper refacorying and not spagetthi hacks everywhere, right? :-)

@VrontisDev the same usual stuff as every previous update, these are always a given: new normal stage, new hard stage, new weapons/collabs, new items, 9 new characters, new stamps unique new stuff for 0.8: dungeon mode holocards new time mode stage reworked ranking mode other small stuff

@holocuredev Understandable lol Also, since if came up earlier... What's the current status on stuff for the next update? I know I saw Nepolabo, and now with Chloe also holoX, guess the other 4 girls will also appear, plus that card thingy from a few weeks ago? 👀

@TheRedwolf24 i think chloe is really like the only one that changes to this extent (which is why I felt this was warranted)

@holocuredev So alternate portraits for everyone then? Plus being able to set a favorite outfit is a great addition i honestly can't wait to see all the new content honestly wish i knew anything about making games it'd be cool to work on something like this
