@MattWalshBlog Incorrect. It wasn’t just weather it was also the issues with ATC. Other airlines also had cancellations but Southwest’s network is operated differently(not hub and spoke) so one cancellation can cause a knock on effect.Also, generally speaking, Southwest has more flights.
Praying for Southwest today. They are being forced to cancel thousands of flights due to weather conditions that only affect their airplanes and nobody else's. Very unique weather phenomenon.
@DrrrtyDoggg@MattWalshBlog The recent statements by SWA executives reiterate my point. Even if you’re correct, it’s a government mandate not an airline mandate so pilots acting against their respective companies is silly. Airlines are regulated by the DOT.
@holtetrader@MattWalshBlog I’m a senior 777 captain at a major airline and those of us in the industry know otherwise. This is a response by the pilots at SWA to the forced vaccine mandate. SWA may claim ATC delays or weather but that alleviates them from having to pay for hotels. C’mon, you’re in denial!
