Here's the moment when Blue 35 returned this morning and showed everyone who's boss. She arrives just after YW lands, then sees off 717.
Such a joy and a relief to see her. Apparently the traffic was terrible.

@MikeWass2 The 1960's and early 70's was my 'golden era' of NH racing. I'm now of the opinion that there were three or four identical horses called The Fossa. It seems to run in every old card I look at.

OTD 1971 the brilliant Flyingbolt ran his last race & unfortunately fell in the Topham Chase. Stablemate of Arkle he won 18 races e.g. in 1966 won Champion Chase, next day 3rd in Champion Hurdle; also won 🇮🇪 National (12st 6lbs). Rigton Prince won the Topham.🏇🌟#RacingMemories

Team GB is saddened to hear of the death of Olympic champion Mary Rand.
Rand made history at the Tokyo 1964 Olympics, where she became the first British woman to win three medals at one Games.
Rand broke the world record as she won long jump gold, alongside pentathlon silver and bronze in the 4x100m relay.
She was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 1964 and and awarded an MBE in 1965.

@MikeWass2 That racecard certainly brought back teenage memories for me, Mike. Lots of familiar names and Lizawake was a particular favourite of mine.

OTD 1964 Fulke Walwyn-trained Team Spirit (Willie Robinson) won the Grand National. The 12-year-old American-owned horse won at 18/1 by half a length from Purple Silk (John Kenneally) & Peacetown (Roy Edwards) in 3rd. It marked his 5th attempt at the race. 🏇#RacingMemories

@GolfweekNichols When Chris Paisley won the 2018 (??) South African Open, I'm certain his wife was on the bag. I think she was standing in for his regular caddy.

@DaveTindallgolf @racingoncourse A trip down memory lane. Most of my biggest wins came courtesy of Jeremy. The beauty of it was the large returns for a modest outlay. EW 'transatlantic doubles' and even trebles with the Asian or Australasian Tours thrown in. So sad to learn of his passing.

Very honoured to be asked by Sporting Life to write this tribute to the king of golf betting, Jeremy Chapman, who has sadly passed away. His is an amazing story and if you're interested in how golf betting got started, Jeremy tells it brilliantly in the article. A lovely man and a huge inspiration to me and so many others. RIP.

@cricketontnt That snake is an excellent representation of England's tour.

@RacingPost @FOBRacing Knowing when to 'call time' with a horse is a training skill in itself. Well done to all involved.

@hannahbggg The problem with a lot of people is that they have no dreams to chase, and they constantly put down others who persevere to achieve theirs. Go well next year, Hannah.

Sorry to bum you out right before Christmas, but this “76 averaging” woman that “can’t compete” just earned her status back at Final Stage ⚡️💪 71-75-72-72 (E)
Hope you have a terrible Christmas! 💗🎄

Unapologetically Honest@honestynotsorry
@DunningGolf @hannahbggg @LETgolf Just looked at her player profile on Epson and Let Golf… 😳 She averages 76 and I counted maybe 3 rounds at Even or better. Maybe a total of 4 cuts made in like 5 years. Ever think about supporting a player that can actually compete or is it all about social media?

@GeorgeDobell1 I feel the rhetoric coming from the England management team is similar to Keegan Bradley's Ryder Cup messages.

"There was talk from McCullum about being 'strong and 'tough. But this is the language of the playground or casino. It's more about being competent and good. This goes to the heart of McCullum, really. He's a gambler. And no one deludes themselves more than a gambler."

@dgriffinpix @leicsccc @DerbyshireCCC Couldn't do it these days. He'd still be playing cricket at 7pm getting the overs in.

@McGracing Ridden by my favourite jockey of my teens, Bill Rees. I think the horse was fatally injured in the 1966 King George . Bill Rees was hurt and, looking back, was never the same jockey again. I can still picture it falling.
