That's why this whole situation is weird and odd there are people trying to justify this decision. I buy both physical and digital games and even I can see why this is such a terrible idea by Sony. No. Math doesn't lie but math can blind you to other answers you may be seeking.

this might be why the physical controversy is so much weirder in games. the media is tied to the platform holder, so it creates this weird bias you don’t see elsewhere . it’s like if Disney printed the DVDs. that along with the annoying proprietary nature tied to brands
