As an AD, we made a rule: if a student-athlete quits mid-season, they can’t join preseason activities or the next season’s team until the season they quit is over. Purpose: hold athletes accountable to their commitment.

North Crowley holds the ball for nearly a minute to get the last shot of the half. Since there’s no shot clock… It’s the right strategy. Very common to see in UIL Texas high school basketball playoffs.

I’m all for adding a shot clock to high school basketball. Every state needs a shot clock. But if a team is holding the ball… why let them? Change your defense. Apply pressure. Trap. Make them uncomfortable. Don’t just stand there and allow it to happen.
