Apparently it only being Jalen’s first playoffs that excuses him being absolutely abused by OG all series long and him not at all trying to take over even a second of the series. This is why this organization is a forever losing one. Their fans are okay with the bare minimum.

Hawks go out in the worst way possible. However, I’m going to try to keep my sanity on this one because 3 months ago, I didn’t even think we were making the playoffs. Respect to the Knicks for doing their thing and playing good basketball. This loss is a big learning experience for everyone involved. Year 1 for Onsi was a success and I hope he can continue to build on this foundation.

@PeachStPayton Jalen Johnson is afraid of the moment unlike Trae.

One thing I will say about Trae is he was a performer that was not scared of the moment regardless of what extreme his play would swing to. His presence here would’ve created other issues on the court, but I do feel like THAT has been missing this series.

After that last game though, I think you do change things. If they were competitive and went out, we’d have a different outlook. Right now, I’m not sure if we want guys like CJ and Kuminga back on this team. Probably even JJ, I think you’re looking at a completely new roster next season just based off this one game. That’s how bad a loss that was:

NAW was averaging 20 in the season, hasn’t had a single 20 pt game in the series. Jalen Johnson has not risen his level of play at any point in this series. Dyson has played hard, rebounds and defends but his shooting limitations look a lot worse in the playoffs. Onyeka gets physically outmatched whether it’s KAT or Robinson. We got some goods games from CJ but he’s running out of gas. Kuminga has been an X factor but doesn’t have enough of an offensive role yet to impact games really. Credits to Quin for managing 2 wins with this roster because these guys have not been even close to their best versions for even a single game in these playoffs.

The Hawks came in underdogs this series, but they've now lost games by 11, 16, and 29 points. Their playoff NetRtg (-11.0) is 14th out of the 16 teams (ahead of the eliminated Suns and Blazers). imo you have every right to be frustrated by how uncompetitive they've looked so far

All the reports show that Atlanta initiated the trade stuff then worked with Trae's agent to find a new location. You can talk all that not making the playoffs all you want, basing it on 10 games mostly where we had no LP and Kuminga wasn't here yet. We would have beat those same teams. We had a front loaded schedule then beat a bunch of bad teams in a year with an unprecedented number of tanking teams. The good teams we played were almost all missing at least one of their best 3 players. We beat 1 post season team with their squad. That was Orlando in Franz's 1 game back from injury. We only played 4 good teams in tact and lost the other 3.
