#apply26 questions are rolling in. If your #johndeere sprayer or rate controller is actually applying product but not recording coverage, make sure your flow meter is actually reading flow. Troubleshooting section from 4830 owner's manual applies to most every sprayer. Google "paperclip flow meter test" for a quick way to validate if it is wiring issue or your flow meter. @KibbleEquipment @PVEQUIP @ValleyPlains

This area of far western ND is more than 50% pasture with all of the farmland being no-till. It’s crazy to see dirt like this. Need rain!

Move to a new field and your planter/sprayer will not apply or your combine will not document yield? Toggle section control/overlap control off. If that works you are likely have the wrong field selected and exterior boundaries turned on in the application. Verify in section control reason diagnostics. #plant26 #johndeere @KibbleEquipment @ValleyPlains @PVEQUIP

@Horob @tractorman_8430 Ok my tech finally pushed back with DTAC and asked about the “blanking payloads” (after swapping many controllers and attempting to re-program with no success. Well, guess what - the blanking payloads cleared the SHC controller and allowed a new program to be pushed. Thank you 🙏🏻

Anybody out there a John Deere M5E on Ethernet expert?? Our new-to-us planter won’t plant the correct seeding rate. Some rows low, some high. Tech has been here 2x to reprogram still nothing. It is commanding the wrong (different) RPM for drives. Drives fine, meters fine. 🤷🏻

I own some land where people have been trespassing. It’s relatively remote, and there are no utilities, so I’ve been contemplating setting up a Starlink mini kit with solar power to put a camera out there. Given that I have a Starlink Max plan, I can use their 100 GB Roam plan for $25/month. The plan I’m contemplating includes a 24V self-heating LiPo battery along with 1,200 W of solar power. The self-heating battery will be needed given the winter temperatures we have in Minnesota. The ballpark price of this setup is going to be $3,000. Has anyone set up any remote solar-powered Wi-Fi-enabled systems like this?

@johndeere air carts are getting work done. If you have issues with map coverage when you switch tanks/products, verify your tank configuration in the cart implement profile for Gen4/5. If your display does not look like this make sure your display/cart software are up to date. Displays are at 25.4; 1910 carts need to be minimum v3.0 for ground drive; v11.0 for hydraulic drive. Hydraulic drive latest is v18. DTAC 111434 for your dealer to update.

John Deere Autopath file sent to a tractor with 24 row cultivator worked perfect. Same file sent to a 120’ 412r sprayer is ending up 11” of center. 22” rows. Why? @Horob

Do your @johndeere 1910 Air Cart settings change on their own? Gremlin we run into every spring, but still not common enough to remember right away. Likely culprit is Gen 4 or 5 + extended monitor with cart run page modules running on both screens. See example pictures Symptoms: meter roller color flips, cart size changes, tool type changes, phantom "display" tab, software versions not displaying and other weird behavior. Fix: keep 1910 run pages on one display only not both. DTAC 118400 #plant26

@BarlowFarms1843 @tractorman_8430 If continue to have issues have the tech push back at JD to see if getting a blanking payload would help.

@Horob @tractorman_8430 Case was submitted through DTAC but when I talked to tech yesterday he said that Deere wasn’t helping much at all. He was disappointed. He talked to the head techs in the local dealership chain and decided they would find a local planter and try swapping SHC’s 🤷🏻

@BarlowFarms1843 @tractorman_8430 If your dealer doesn’t have a case submitted to JD they should. We have had to get blanking payloads to fix updates that were corrupted on the controller. Not saying that is 100% this issue but we have had some weird symptoms and that has fixed it in many cases.

@tractorman_8430 Thank you. My local tech suggested buying a new controller for the row units but he wasn’t sure that was the solution. Glad to hear it might be.
