कांस्टेबल सौम्य रंजन अपने दोस्त के साथ बाइक से जा रहे थे, तभी गुंडों ने उनपर हमला किया।
उनके हाथ-पैर बांध दिए गए और भीड़ की शक्ल में मौजूद गुंडों ने उन्हें तब तक मारा, जब तक उनकी मौत नहीं हो गई।
इस दौरान पुलिस भी वहां खड़ी रही, और तमाशा देखती रही। सौम्य रंजन जान की भीख मांगते रहे, लेकिन गुंडे पिटाई करते रहे।
ये घटना समाज के लिए कलंक है, जिसकी सभ्य समाज में कोई जगह नहीं होनी चाहिए।
