Prior to Angel Reese’s arrival, opponents were shooting 52.2% from the field against Rose BC over a nine-game stretch. That has quickly shifted. In just two games since Reese joined the lineup, Rose BC has held opponents to 43.1% shooting, including limiting second-place Lace BC to 40.3% in a 70–66 victory. That 40.3% mark stands as the lowest shooting percentage Rose BC has allowed all season. You could argue that questionable foul calls stood in the way of a two-game winning streak, but what’s clear is that the team’s trajectory has changed with the late-season addition of Reese. Coming off the bench, she’s averaging a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, immediately impacting both ends of the floor. Now, Rose BC turns its attention to Friday’s regular-season finale against the league’s top team, Phantom BC, looking to carry this defensive momentum into a marquee matchup. 🪄
