Yesterday we were fortunate enough to get a tour of @ReformRadioMCR. We watched a music production workshop, tried out some radio equipment, and talked to musicians and DJs about lots of different careers in the music industry. Thank you so much for the opportunity! 🎶🎸🎹

Science lessons have been pretty sweet so far this year … 🍬 Students have been busy modelling plant and animal cells as well as creating supersized gummy bears using osmosis.

The day that Pablo came to play! 🦮🐾 Research has shown that petting dogs can reduce stress and anxiety, and increases levels of the ‘feel-good’ hormone oxytocin. Our students took Pablo for a walk and played fetch with him in the garden. He was indeed a very good boy!

In science we have been investigating the conditions needed for germination.  We have discovered we need water, oxygen and warmth -WOW!🌱🧑‍🔬🧪

🎨| GCSE Art Exhibition Join the Art, Textiles & Design Technology departments in celebrating the GCSE work of our Year 11 students. There will also be a Charity Art Fair spotlighting exceptional work from Year 7-9, with all proceeds going to @ArcStockport.

Recently we received our Rainbow flag award! The award focusses on positive LGBT+ inclusion and visibility. At Moat House, we are committed to improving the lives of all the young people that we work with, including LGBT+ young people in our care. 🏳️‍🌈

One of our amazing and talented students has had their artwork selected for an exhibition by @ArtBattleMCR. The theme this year was ‘My Happy Place’, and there were 325 entries. We couldn’t be prouder 🌟
