We are entering a completely new era of science
Here is Yuji Tachikawa from Japan (Mathematical Physics, String Theory, QFT) on recent progress in his own work using Fable 5 :
"I've been trying out Claude Fable recently, and last night, on a whim, I showed it my research notes about a collaborative project that's seen no progress in the past six months or so and asked for its thoughts. To my surprise, it made a non-trivial observation and essentially solved it."
"I was also surprised that it was using sympy to automatically write code and verify his own predictions."
"Fable probably seems like it properly understands string theory and has intuition too—that's my impression"

great opportunity to build something meaningful at scale in public -- solving a real problem and generating revenue to keep growing further.
i'm hacking with my programming mentor something special for this one. excited to share more later!

We are giving away $2 million to those who can use AI to build REAL BUSINESSES that solve REAL PROBLEMS for 100,000+ people. If you ever wanted to start, but didn't know how or with what, this is your chance.

@neutralityorg I'm really grateful for your work on this.
This kind of insight is so important for humanity.

We are incredibly speechless to the amount of interest we're seeing in our discoveries - and we aim to do more.
Please give us a follow and join the effort by running benchmarks yourself or fund the efforts with a donation!

For the last several months, we’ve been working on the design of our @Starcloud_-3 distributed constellation of 200kW inference nodes in dawn-dusk sun-synchronous orbit, providing many gigawatts of low-cost AI compute. It seems we’re not alone! 🙌

In 2001, detectors in the Super-Kamiokande neutrino observatory experienced a catastrophic chain-reaction implosion. It was later repaired and in 2006, refilled with ultra-pure water, seen here. quantamagazine.org/how-physicists…

the great race for limitless energy and compute
China leads the clean-energy transition by a large margin, while US still leads frontier compute and chip design.
as power becomes the ultimate constraint on AI, China's energy and open-source edge is turning into a compute edge

China’s AI playbook: kill OpenAI and anthropic with free great models. Make it free. Then use cheap electricity to export compute as well. Currently the blocker is chip but Hauwei would catch up soon. Imagine a world where instead of paying hundreds of billions to OpenAI and anthropic, you pay almost zero to similar level of intelligence with cheap cheap inference. What’s gonna happen?

@GlitterPixely This is genuinely horrible in a really very well executed way 😂 Good job

AI data centre water usage accounts for 0.0055% of all human water usage.
To offset that, a human has to eat 1 less burger every 40 years or 1.5 slices of bread less a year.
You can have God in your pocket 24/7 or you can have 1.5 extra slices of bread per year.
