@USronaldcarter So assuming Iran gets a nuclear bomb, what would it do with it? Throw it at Israel knowing that the US would nuke it in return? That would be suicide. Claiming that once Iran get a nuclear bomb doomsday woud arrive is just nonesense. Nuclear weapons r just a deterrent.

I just got off the phone with someone who works in defense policy in Washington. What they told me should end every "Trump is reckless" argument permanently. "Every single president since Clinton received the same intelligence briefing on Iran's nuclear timeline. Every single one was told the window was closing. Every single one chose to kick it down the road because the political cost of acting was higher than the political cost of waiting." Trump got the same briefing. 60kg of 90% enriched uranium. 4 weeks to breakout. Material for 2 bombs. He chose to act knowing it would tank his approval to 35%. He chose to act knowing his own base would split. He chose to act knowing NATO allies would refuse to help. He chose to act knowing gas prices would spike. A senior analyst I know at a major think tank put it this way: "The difference between Trump and every president before him isn't intelligence. They all had the same data. The difference is courage." Read that again. Every president had the same file on their desk. Only one opened it and did something. I'll keep you updated. Turn on notifications. 🚨

My worst nightmare for Lebanon is coming true, and I am beginning to seriously question my assumption that Israel does not want to annex Lebanese territory The Defense Minister's statement today that Israel will occupy a part of Southern Lebanon after the war is inexcusable How can they expect to get rid of Hezbollah, which was founded because of Israel's occupation of Lebanon, if their goal is to occupy Lebanon again?!

Next time, let’s wait until Iran has nuclear-armed ICBMs, 10,000 ballistic missiles, a Chinese- and Russian-built military, a million attack drones, a fully operational terror network, and hundreds of billions to harden its economy. Then we’ll fight to reopen Hormuz.

@Hraoui17 You are dead wrong. At least 70-80% of Lebanese are against Israel and possibly same percentage against Iran. Sunnis, druze, shia and many Christians against Israel. Sunnis, druze and most Christians against Iran.

The majority of Lebanese Christians, Druze, and Sunnis do not see the Israeli people as their enemy. They believe that Lebanon’s tragedies have largely been caused by Hezbollah and by Iranian interference in #Lebanon through the Iranian regime. They want Lebanon to free itself from Hezbollah, to find a way to end the war with Israel, and to restore the authority of the Lebanese state. Many also believe that Israel has no territorial ambitions in Lebanon, given the reality of the current borders and the historical context. They ask: on what basis can it seriously be claimed that Israel seeks to annex Lebanese territory? In their view, Lebanon’s real problem is not with Israel, but with Hezbollah, Iran, and the Iranian regime’s influence over Lebanon.

@BrilynHollyhand It is not the US responsibility to clean up anything in the world. Let other people live. Billions of people hate what the US does and would like to see it cleaned up as well. Every nation or country or region can do by its own. Stay away and mind your business.

No matter how this war ends, the level of Arab Gulf mistrust/public anger at Iran regime is a new reality for Tehran to reckon with. Arabic social media tells a very different story than English posts. There is no going back to pre-Feb. 28.

Just had a very good discussion with @POTUS about his recent statement regarding the consequences to Iran if they do not agree to an acceptable peace deal. I support diplomatic efforts to end the conflict consistent with our military objectives, but it takes two to tango. The necessity for military action is weeks not months and Operation Epic Fury is well ahead of pace. The hope for me has always been that by neutralizing Iran as the largest state sponsor of terrorism, it will open the gateway to peace allowing Saudi Arabia and Israel to normalize their relationship, effectively ending the Arab-Israeli conflict. If this historic normalization deal between Saudi Arabia and Israel occurs, it will be due to President Trump’s bold, decisive leadership in dealing with the Iranian threat so they can no longer be a spoiler for peace like they were on October 7, 2023. Keep it up Mr President. Wind down the war and wind up efforts for an historic peace deal.

As always I only support military action anywhere, in any context, if it directly serves the interests of American citizens. It’s troubling that the arguments we’re hearing for this war in Iran, including from Trump himself, seem to revolve primarily around “bringing freedom to the Iranian people.” As Americans, the freedom of Iranians is not our responsibility. If a single American life is lost in the service of that goal, it will be a travesty. What nobody has even come close to sufficiently explaining is how this war will first and foremost directly benefit American citizens. That is a case that needed to have been made clearly and convincingly before this move, and it wasn’t. We’re also told how this will benefit Israel, and I’m sure it will. But Israel is not America. What does it do for America? How does it help us? That needs to be explained to us. And it isn’t “panicking” or demonstrating “disloyalty” to demand those very basic answers about how American tax money, and potentially American lives, are being spent. We hear about the danger of a nuclear Iran, but that’s odd because we were told that Iran’s nuclear capabilities had already been set back decades. We hear that this war will be over quickly and easily because Iran is powerless, which I hope and pray is the case, and maybe it will be. But that’s odd, too, because if Iran is such a paper tiger then how were they a danger to us in the first place? It seems hard to argue both that Iran is an existential threat to the United States and that we can topple them in 20 minutes with no casualties or negative downstream effects. Also the political calculation really matters here. A huge majority of American oppose this. That’s just a fact. If it costs Republicans in 26 and 28, then, no matter how things work out in Iran, it will not have been worth it. A free Iran at the cost of Democrat rule here at home is a bad deal. A free Iran for an unfree America would be just about the worst trade of the century. I’m praying for our great country today.

@AFI_tweeter @TuckerCarlson Funny that those who exiled Jews from Palestine were romans, those who persecuted Jews in Europe were Christians and that Jews fled to the Ottomans for protection. Go read some real history. Muslims don't have a problem with peace loving jews.

Israel's right to defend itself is legitimate, and it's also legitimate to criticise its governments' methods. however, it's a waste of time talking about this 'forever' conflict when the fundamental, and foundational issue is not addressed - Islam's psychic deformity - the hatred of Jews. Even if the Jews didn't have a homeland, Islam would still seek to exterminate them. The Jews' persecution is real and their safety is precarious. best outcome for Palestinians is a secular state.

Hamas has broken the ceasefire agreement. They returned only the living hostages and some remains — not all of them. Now, under pressure from mediators and families, Hamas is being pushed to bring back the remains of those murdered in captivity. If they don’t, Israel will respond — starting with closing humanitarian aid into Gaza. Never forget: Hamas is a terrorist organization that seeks Israel’s destruction. Keep praying for the peace of Jerusalem. #Israel #Hostages #Jerusalem #MiddleEast #Ceasefire
