Destiny 2 had a slight bump because it has a shotgun put to the back of its head, and Marathon is currently in late wipe, where there's barely any incentive to play, other than catching up with some achievements before the reset.

Almost mid day on a Sunday and there’s almost a 7k player difference. Reminder that Marathon is a mostly PC game while Destiny 2 has a massive console base. Bungie/ Sony made a huge mistake.

Destiny 2 failed on countless occasions to meet your expectations. If Bungie committed to creating Destiny 3 right now, chances are pretty high that you would still be dissapointed.
I know that nobody wants to hear it, but I'm going to say it anyway.

I haven't seen a single valid argument that can refute the fact that Marathon is a good game, because the only arguments people who hate it make are based on numbers or the fact that they don't like extraction shooters, and that's it.

I’m so sick of people talking shit about Marathon when they clearly haven’t even played it. The game is legit incredible, get off twitter and play a game for once instead of posting constant engagement bait for a couple of likes and retweets. Grow the fuck up.

Bloomberg: Bungie planning significant layoffs following end of Destiny 2 development. Destiny 3 is not in active production. Bungie staff are pitching and prototyping new projects, including in the Destiny franchise, but none have been greenlit bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
