@hayasaka_aryan Completely understood the plot of the crap remake of From Dusk Till Dawn. My issue was the lead actor is so limited I was unable to differentiate which brother was which!

@troy_bagner @lowcortisol Nope, it worked because it stood on the shoulders and foundations of Rocky. Like I said without the Rocky connections nobody would care

@howley30 @lowcortisol Stallone being nominated doesn’t mean he carried it. Ryan Coogler built the story and Michael B. Jordan was the heart of that film. That’s why it worked.

Here’s the thing: I was 12 years old when I discovered "Star Trek." But Uhura didn’t have to be black for me to connect with her. Sulu didn’t have to be gay for me to connect with him. Because I was attracted to the stories, concepts and ideas that universe showed me. I appreciated their minds and personalities of the characters. They didnt have to "look like me" for me to relate to them. They made me believe I could grow be like them. And that’s what made "Star Trek" great. It wasn’t about people staying the way they were. It wasn’t about locking everyone into existing identities. It was about people becoming better for the growth and survival of humanity. "Trek" taught people to believe they could be better than who they were. That’s why I loved it. It gave a kid like me permission to dream beyond the boxes society handed me. It taught me logic, competence, curiosity, courage, and sacrifice. "Live long and prosper" wasn’t just a catchphrase. It was a promise that we could evolve past division and fear. That future is still worth chasing. Too bad Paramount doesn't think so.

@troy_bagner @lowcortisol The whole concept was based on Rocky! It was even marketed as part of the Rocky saga, if stallone was not involved nobody would have cared about that film also stallone was nominated for an Oscar for his performance.

@howley30 @lowcortisol Ryan Coogler directed Creed and Michael B. Jordan starred in it… so how can anyone say Sylvester Stallone carried the movie? Stallone was great, but that film was clearly built around Adonis and Coogler’s vision.

@lowcortisol Overrated? The man carried Creed, was unforgettable in Black Panther, and just won an Oscar. Sounds like a solid résumé to me.

@Grand_Ole_Evan Totally agree. I loathe Ethan Hawke, but he was way more deserving of the Best Actor Award than Michael B. Jordan, who simply played the exact same character in Sinners twice. No acting chops whatsoever.

Michael B Jordan is a wildly mediocre actor who plays the same character in every movie he’s in. Every movie, he’s just Michael B Jordan in a marginally different font. Some of the greatest actors of all time never won an Oscar.

Starfleet Academy did not land in the top 10 shows of the Paramount app on the weekend of its finale, yet the production team is saying it "found its audience." Where do you think this audience is?

‘Sinners’ could become one of the most-awarded films in #Oscars history this Sunday. After receiving a record-breaking 16 nominations, the film has the possibility of breaking the record of winning more than 11 trophies in one night.

Michael B. Jordan is the frontrunner to win Best Actor at the Oscars today. This would be his first-ever Oscar win. See the full nominees list: bit.ly/OscarNoms26
